Watching the trailer for _Anchoress,_ I recognized Pete Postlethwaite immediately, but I was more, "wtf is that Christopher Eccleston...?" (so cool that got clarified so I didn't have to look it up). The stone cell reminded me of the final act of the weird Alan Arkin movie _The Magician of Lublin._

I watched most of "From" season 1... it's another iteration of Lost. They won't get me a second time.

I first saw 𝘊𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘯 (𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦) on cable so many years ago. Eventually I obtained its DVD. Predictably I loved the very dark humour, and understandably... I loved Anna Falchi. I was impressed with the filming of That Most Notable Scene, where behind her extend stone statue angel wings, as though they are sprouting from her own back. I love the general wtf'ness of the film, such as the mobile disembodied head, Falchi's sad and unnecessary fate, and the surreal closing shot of the film. (I'd later come across 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 costar François Hadji-Lazaro in 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘭𝘧.)

Tough to have a Found Footage film of this sort with the obviously recognizable Ray Wise. Despite his excellent devil character in _Reaper,_ whenever I first see him, I think of him in _RoboCop..._

I'm rather sure such stop motion figures generally are called armatures...

tbh, I watch your podcast mostly for the shows/movies gazette. You always have some good stuff I haven't seen. For example, I watched Vourdalak (meh) and Oddity (not bad) last week.

I was more of an HR Pufnstuf and _Land of the Lost_ watcher, though I _have_ always liked the Banana Splits silly but ear-worm catchy Tra-La-La theme song... Weird they'd have the Banana SpIits as automatons, when they were (clearly) costumed people.

I very much prefer the original UK _Village of the Damned..._

The Popcorn meter is to help suppress peoples' opinions, and safeguarding "from" bad reviews, such as terrible projects (a la Disney Marvel and "𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘴" content)

Anne Heche's character did "teach" some of the firemen to wait to see a launched rock to arc so one sees in what direction it'll be coming down so a Not To Run That Way...

I've seen the trailer for _Kill_ and I really want to see it...

I saw _Trap_ last night. I actually liked it, though I felt it was a bit uneven. Yes the girl playing Raven was very flat, and I was expecting either the wife to turn out to be the actual killer or that she was in cahoots with the husband. But what I (as well as the rest of the audience), really enjoyed was the _comedy_ throughout.

I saw _Witchboard_ when it came out; Tawny Kitaen went on to work in movie publicity. I met her briefly when she was helping run an NYC press luncheon with Joe Dante and Rob Bottin for _The Howling..._

Saw and enjoyed _Alien Romulus_ (IMAX, obviously) last night. I liked the more obvious callbacks, including but not limited to the Bilbo reference (who looked better [CGI'd] on the monitor than "on set"),

_Cuckoo_ was a weird but creepy and silly and wtf in the What's Actually Happening? department...

I'm unaware of the song artists *Ghost,* but that there's a Lore to it is interesting. It sounds like when I learned there's major backstory lore with Disney's Haunted Mansion, the actual park ride, not the movies.

Oh y' gotta check it the _Joker_ sequel in a few weeks; I'm even visible in the first trailer.

In the first _Joker_ film, it's established that Bruce Wayne is a child.

I couldn't get into _Discovery_ but like Eric I couldn't get beyond a couple of episodes, it being so _ignorant_ of Klingons and their culture...

Being unable to move and perceiving a demon is Sleep Paralysis. Night Terrors are when one is terrified in a nightmare so strong they wake up all but screaming, yet unable to recall the dream...

_Longlegs_ was very trippy, and unsettling... Last night's _Deadpool & Wolverine_ showing was preceded by _way_ too many trailers...
