it would be nice but it's a useless chrono. I refuse to buy any watch with 24h subdial. it's a fraudoltent and useless movement. 24h subdial is one of the most idiotic thing I've ever seen

No one ever shows it on an arm to get a good sense of size.

Rotary website still states Miyota 8215… do you think they’re just constructing the same movement better now? I just ordered a black/black one of these with the orange minute hand, wanted the yellow if only they had made the hour hand black so you could actually see it 😂

I have a couple of Pagani Design watches, and I have decided to only buy from Amazon from now on. I bought a Pepsi GMT from Pagani Design via Aliexpress, and also a Batman GMT from Amazon. Both of them had problems and needed to be returned. The Batman didn't hack (ie the second hand did not stop when the crown was pulled out). The Pepsi was running about 30 mins/day too fast, and the case was buffed so badly that the lugs were deformed. I was able to ship the Batman back to Amazon the same day, and received a refund a couple of hours after I dropped it off at the UPS place. When I attempted to return the Pepsi, PD gave me the runaround for weeks, using delaying tactics such as asking me to send photos of the bracelet (the problem had nothing to do with the bracelet). They eventuality decided that my watch was not defective and refused a refund, so I had to try to resolve it through my payment method (I believe it was paypal, but its been a while, so I cant remember for sure). I had to go through the same process, including sending them a video of the second hand ticking, so they could see whether it was working within spec. They claimed it was, so my only recourse was to pay a qualified watchmaker to write a letter to declare that it was defective. That would have cost more than the watch was worth, so I just gave up. I may have got the Aliexpress watch a bit cheaper, but it was a false economy, since I basically had no recourse when there was a problem.

What specific movement does it use though?

How can anyone not love this watch.

How long ago was new mov,t introduced, reason i ask because i bought the Blue and Green versions ( total watch nerd , and seem to be in a total minority in being a big fan of Miyota) . Either Miyota technicians , or Rotary techs must be doing something because the accuracy of my blue one frankly staggering, Ok i dont have fancy electronic timing gear but have only needed to retard the minute hand by like half a minute in one month, just comparing what my watch says by comparison with my phone. I have hell of a lot of experience with Miyota, two Promasters and two Big dial Reidenschild Aviators. Oh to conclude not worn the green one yet.

Is there any idea which of these seamatics have the updated movement. I'm looking to get one and it's really not clear as to the release dates of these watches.

A pagani or a real oyster bracelet are thinner an edges are not as sharp an they wear and feel perfect, it's why that style is known as the best, the san martin is nice but it's kinda sharp an just thick enough to be noticeable when you have worn a good oyster bracelet... pagani design are loose fit sometimes and the clasp isn't perfect but it feels so much smoother and hugs your wrist....

Is the case diameter you listed supplied by manufacturer or did you personally measure at 48mm? If you measured, did you include the bump out (@9) and the crown, or bezel edge to bezel edge? Casio/Edifice measurements I've found are not always done similarly to other manufacturers and I'm trying to decide if this will fit me.

Great review. I am wanting my first automatic watch. Was looking at tissot's and Hamilton's but don't really want to spend £500 plus. This rotary in green or maybe the skeleton version looks like a great compromise. An upgrade from my skagen and nicer to look at than the garmin! Ps. As long as I hear a little movement if my ear is close which is nice, otherwise I agree - a watch is to look at. 😉
