Where Fluidity Collides with Creativity!
“Floating Bloom” a 12” x 12” deep gallery-wrapped canvas #artistlife #thepainteddreamer#blooms
This is a Floating bloom inspired by "The Painted Dreamer" An incredible fluid artist on UA-cam. Please visit her Channel. I love this technique and can’t wait to try it again.
Base Paint: Multi-pro PPG mixed with:
Atelier Carbon Black.
Liquitex Iridescent Graphite.
Artist Loft Noir Black.
To achieve the desired shade of black.
I thinned the base down with Jo-Wa a mixture of Josanna varnish and water.
All of my colors are mixed with my pouring medium:
50% Behr 8300 Hi-Gloss Enamel & 50% Valspar 773951 Base C semi-Gloss
Colors use:
Golden: Quinacridone Nickle Azo Gold, & Deep Violet Permanent, mixed with Goldens iridescent paste.
Amsterdam: Blue Green mixed with Golden iridescent paste.
Liquitex Basics: Quinacridone Magenta Mixed with Golden iridescent paste.
Atelier: Blue/Black mixed with Golden iridescent paste.
Cell activators used: 3:1 Floetrol to paint!
Australian Floetrol mixed with
Amsterdam Deep Gold
Amsterdam Oxide Black

The colors are beautiful, but check out some other people videos on canvas preparation. It would definitely help with spinning off the extra paint and also the canvas would look much better if you could tighten it up. Especially if you’re selling your art. Nice colors and thank you for sharing.
