Victor Wembanyama is coming off of one
of the greatest rookie seasons in NBA History, and will be looking to top it off with Olympic Gold in his home country of France at the 2024 Paris Olympics. France were the runners up at the Tokyo Olympics, and will be looking to take it one step further this year. In order to do this they will have to overcome the reigning champion United States, who have a stacked roster including LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Jrue Holiday, Tyrese Haliburton, and Devin Booker.

I think you misinterpreted Noah...He didnt mean the times on JA track dont translate to championship. He knows better than that...He was speaking specifically to Seville...who tends to not perform his best in the championship finals.
valid interpretation but it’s unclear so i’m not sure. either way, that seville narrative is a myth. he finished 4th at 21 in his first WC final, then the next year ran 9.88, 0.02s off of his PB. He literally ran the same time as 2nd and 3rd. Noah saying it won’t translate to the Olympics is ironic because at the last Olympics he was the favourite, the World Leader and reigning World Champ and yet he finished 3rd.
@@lukeokotv Its not a myth. Seville had issues managing rounds. He even admitted to going too hard in the heats last year because he didnt believe in himself. 2 years straight he has ran faster in the heats of the championship than in the final, the year before he ran faster in heat than semi and was knocked out. Noah Lyles knows what he is talking about. The difference this time though is that Seville is much fitter, it was lack of fitness due to injury interrupted training in prev years that made him lack confidence.
