I remember how much the ending of this movie pissed me off. Aliens decide to open communication by sending what appears to be 3 meteors to impact Earth. A fourth one is intercepted and destroyed by a nuclear weapon. The aliens apparently don't like the fact that we aren't able to figure out quick enough that bombarding a planet with a few meteors is their way of saying "Hello." So they send 3 more, even larger meteors aimed at Washington, D.C., Moscow, and Beijing. Those 3 meteors are intercepted by nuclear weapons and destroyed. Well, apparently, in the first meteor strikes, a couple of scientists were injured by the impacts and their brains programmed to recite a message that isn't understood until now. Now we understand what is reeally going on, but too late. We used nuclear weapons to defend ourselves from aliens throwing big rocks at us, so now they are going to teach us a lesson that "Nuclear weapons are bad, m'kay" and bombard the entire planet with meteors and kill us all. And that was how the movie ended. I wanted to kick in my TV's picture tube after watching this B.S.

Surprisingly enjoyable. Amusing to see John De Lansie reporting on an alien contact story.

Thank you... but the audio is so incredibly quiet that I had to boost 'puter output to 100% *and* crank up my 50W/channel stereo's output to more than 40% to hear it *at all* unless I was listening with headphones. Right now, I have the YT (browser) audio at 100% and the stereo at 70%+... and it's barely "easy to listen to" while I sit at the desk with ears less than 40 inches from the speakers. I'm thankful for the upload, man... but people without lots of audio boost ain't gonna hear a thing.

Bullshit. Those aliens didn't come in peace, that massive asteroid bombardment would have had to be put in motion months ahead of time. The three landings that transmitted that signal were giving target information to the follow-on attacks. They were ALWAYS going to wipe us out.

La premisa es clara y se equivoca el científico que decía en la pelicula que venían en paz, .. envían 3 sondas para señalizar la caída del primero en el polo norte que causaria daños gravisimos, luego envían 3 a atacar las principales fuerzas con capacidad nuclear y finalmente otra vez dirigidas por las 3 sondas originales el resto de blancos en un ataque masivo. Solo vienen a aniquilar como lo decía el astrofisico que fallecio hace unos años. Es un error comunicarse con ellos y peor dándoles datos de donde nos ubicamos y guiarlos. si aparecieran debemos considerar que son enemigos
