I've looked everywhere for highlights of man city v ipswich Worthington cup game in December 2000. Can't find it anywhere. First game was abandoned mid game due to rain. Anybody remember this? Ipswich won 2-1.
I absolutely love Joanne! ❤
Classic 👏🏻
Esa canción es muy nostálgica. Trae muchos recuerdos de mi adolescencia 😢
69 years old... keep going Phillip.
This song makes me happy.
Fantastic!!
Sound is very poor
For a phone video, I think it's perfectly fine. Apologies for it not coming up to HD Sky TV standards, though.
RIP Shane, RIP Leonard lol, good job lads!
Class 🤘🤘
What an amazing band they are! And with the best songs! ❤
What a brilliant night it was! ❤
the great Ron Hoofe on commentary.
The venue had “no filming” signs and specifically asked people not to do this …. ?
Think yourself lucky you haven't got any real problems in life to worry about.

To be fair, I didn't see them. Hey ho!

This is their last ever tour, I'm sure they wouldn't have minded. 🤗

I'm sure they'll cope. :-)
@@davidconcannon5927 Disappointing
@@oysterbandvaults If I'd seen the signs I might not have done it. However, I didn't, and worse things happen. It was my last visit to see the band, I have memory issues, and I wanted a couple of souvenirs. I don't see what harm has been done, so I have no regrets.
Hunslet. Best kit ever.
Liverpool won 6-0 against man city
The G man😉.Georgie Mann.
Stevo: well i don't know what Warrington have been doing all week, I think they've been playing with playdoh 😂 I really do miss these two on the mic 1
Hamann will go down as an Anfield legend. What a player! ❤️
Went to this game...Horlocks goal was the last kick of the game..
Thank heavens we eventually banned striking by the marker at the PTB. What a mess it used to cause.
The Ipswich 2000/2001 squad was not a team taht can just be trampled on
It was a pleasure to watch this chap play for Chelsea, happy memories!
Seems weird that you were able to keep your phone up in the air for long enough to capture some of the scores. Given your obvious main pastime, I would have expected your wrist to be a lot stronger 🙂
It was captured from the TV. Not sure why that calls for personal abuse, but I suppose that's the kind of place this is.
Great footage from a golden age of English Rugby League plus the inimitable Eddie Waring doing the commentary.
Leeds were imperious that season how times change
Can you please upload All of Darren Albert's tries for St Helens
How much time do you think I've got? :-)
Only talking about Keith MacRae to my brother last week, think we spent around £100,000 on him..😂😂
Man City were a very good team back then , that shows you how good leeds really were . Mick bates would've been an asset to any div 1 side .
Even in 2024 it's my favourite
How we never won the league is beyond me... One of the best teams we've ever had!
We had some very poor spells of form that cost us dearly. We got spanked at home to Bradford then lost the next game at Leigh, then we had three woeful performances in a week at Wigan (Challenge Cup), Widnes and Hull.
@@davidconcannon5927 I remember Leigh being rearranged. Had we played them at the normal time we'd have beaten them easily and therefore the title would've been ours.
@@martinharvey3990 Whilst we may have beaten them, it was only rearranged by three days. The one that people talk about is the Widnes game that was called off six days after we'd beaten Wigan 41-6, but when it was re-arranged, we were in poor form and lost. However, you never can tell what would have happened. Had we beaten Widnes, we might have lost other games when the pressure mounted up. You can't simply substitute one event for another because they all have a knock-on effect on what is to follow. Nothing would have panned out the same. What we can say is that if we'd have won on Good Friday, we'd have needed one win at home to a failing Widnes to win the title. We scored 2 tries to 1 at Central Park and battered them all game. We spent virtually all of the second half camped on their line with the score at 8-8 but never went for a drop goal. Ultimately, that cost us more than any of the defeats, because it was just short of the finishing line.
I was at this game and am sure we equalised in the last minute but the ref disallowed it coz he said he'd already blown for full time - long time ago, memory might be playing tricks - anyone confirm ?

As kind as I may be, I'm not spending the best part of six months extracting and uploading tries for somebody I don't know. ;-)
Dont suppose you have highlights from City v Oldham at Maine Rd game from this season. Midweek match if remember rightly?
I'm afraid not. I need that for my collection too,
@@davidconcannon5927 Thanks anyway
The best Saints away kit!
It is awful what has been allowed to happen to Rugby league in Bradford! An institution of the game.
It's nobody's fault but their own.
Oh come on, make an effort. Why play This if you dont dance? It is not unheard of even slitghty older men get in shape to a performance…
There is a small part of me that feels sorry for the Wire, my spleen. Everything else loves to see this!!!
Imagine having a worse record at your new stadium than your fiercest rivals!!! Also thinking of yourselves as our rival!?
My all time favourite and what a great venue the ritz is 🙂🙂🙂
The Spine of that team is as good as any, ever, anywhere!! Wellens, Pryce, Long, Cunningham and Sculthorpe. World Class top to bottom!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
dude. when the guitarist (although not JHS), takes a solo, get the cam on them, eh?
I did the video for me, not you, so I'll do what I want, thank you very much. :-)
Amazing how clear her voice still is so many decades later! Sounds perfect!
After watching 'Kid', this is yet another great tune. There have always been great guitarists in this band and I occasionally with they would get to rip out on an extended solo or throw in some adlib riffing. But then I remind myself that the songs are great as they are. I recall reading John Mayer saying the when he recorded his album 'Bigger Things', he, a fine player, had guitar solos in all the tunes. But when listening back to the tracks he admitte to himself that they didn't need solos...so he took all but one or two out. Chrissies tunes don't need solos, though the one in this one - a play on the melody - is perfect. One never tires of this tune.
Thank you. This is fabulous. Always a great tune, what with that Hank Marvin-style riff and what is surely one of Chrissie's finest vocals (one of many). James Walbourne, who has been with the band since about 2008, really looks, sounds and play the part. That harmonic and touch of feedback at the end of his solo is perfect. How lucky you were to catch this show in such an intimate venue...and to get such a good recording.
I was there ,and it’s the first time I heard the “ your not massive any more “chants any more .looking back at it now city fans could chant back “ no were bigger than massive” such irony.
