I know the incident was caused by a submerged dock BUT, with that little contact with the water, it doesn't take much to have an incident. A large wake from another boat or a rogue wave could have a similar effect. Once the bow rises a little too much, the boat is either going to spin or flip. Based on the lateral movements of the boat prior to dock impact, it appears that control was already marginal. Glad he was okay. Kudos for having the proper safety equipment. Please always wear a life vest on a boat regardless of the speed unless you on a huge boat (eg 50 ft +) So many fatalities on the water are caused by boat collisions due to careless boating and, if you are wearing a life vest and knocked unconscious, your body will stay at the surface and a rescuer can quickly locate you and get your mouth and nose out of the water to prevent drowning.

Running wide open on big water dont care how many times you have done that and never had problem you did this time and luckly no one died

That's a good price! Imo. The walk thru is still on Gatortrax website. Beautiful, functional, tough as hell boat! Not gonna last long! Just got mine a couple months ago, GT. You just can't go wrong with it. Congrats whomever buys it, you just don't see used ones for sale that often.

Key structurial pieces are extruded aluminum. Way way way stronger. Im wondering if u battle giant waves all the time if will strecth the metal around the transom area?
