House Music: Origins, Subgenres, and The Future
This is a quick, yet thorough introduction to House Music. From the downfall of Disco to the rise of House Music in Chicago. From smaller crowds of marginalized communities, dancing at local nightclubs, to the globalization of the genre. In this video, I cover the birth, evolution, and what I think the future of House will be.

I Made Demon Tanjiro's Theme
Переглядів 2 тис.4 місяці тому
I decided to make a soundtrack for one of the "scenes" that happens towards the end of Demon Slayer manga. I used some of the themes that the great Go Shiina has created for the anime. For the first part, I used Tanjiro's theme. But because he dies in that part, the theme is cut short and it's not as lively. For Muzan's last appearance in the story, I just used the melody that we just heard in ...

Short tracks? Long tracks? Does trending have a specific formula? Does making good music still work? Should you put all your focus on business as an artist? let's talk about it.

A Remake Of Paul's Dream | Dune Soundtrack
Переглядів 22211 місяців тому
The first time I listened to Dune's soundtrack, I was absolutely blown away by the scale of the score. The sounds felt huge and heavy and alien. Ever since the first movie came out, I always wanted to try to recreate a piece of the score. This is a part of a track called Paul's Dream. I knew it was nearly impossible to make the exact sounds from the track because movie scores (specially this bi...

progressive techno?
thank you
not great but todd terje mentioned
Detroit Techno: dum chi katak tss (same for the rest of the styles) Hard Techno: doof cha doof cha typical sounds of Techno that are not in House: clicks, springs, screetches, noises, reversed sounds, low kick aka bass drum
I've been listening to real Techno for a few years. The early form originates from Electro (Elecktroids - Future), House (Todd Terry Project - Weekend) and Industrial (not sure). 80's Techno is mechanical, precise, sharp, dark, hypnotic and like Funk, uses abstract rhythms, manipulation of sounds, avoids the commercial elements and melody and focuses on loops. 90's Techno uses more modern equipment and new artists with new ideas appeared which changed the sound. 2000's Techno is not as good in my opinion.
"Trance Techno"? does everything need the word Techno at the end of it? It's just Trance, Or nowadays you could call it Classic Trance to separate the good from the shit today
I like house music , does anyone know what sub genres j should dip my toes into next ?
My new video is about house music, make sure to check it out! Make a comment under that video and I'll help you out finding a genre that you like!
what the hell was that at psytrance techno part that is not psytrance at all.
what ever Jorei's style of dubstep is. Thats the one.
typo beat
😀
deathstep and brostep are just the best kinds of dubstep tbh
I really like brostep and melodic dubstep, though it seems that has somehow translated into minimal techno and psydub trance.
@phdjgee what xd
You are too stupid to think that schranz is not a type of techno.
Trance.
Nice video! Relaxing and interesting. I like that you especially take a look at the synths and drum machines. I miss sound examples tho, are there copyright issues?
Many thanks for you positive comment! I truly appreciate that! If you're referring to 03:10 , That is a "Doctor mix" video, and I credited him. but yes, couldn't play the sounds. if you're interested in his content go watch his videos, they're very cool! There is a compyright limit for me, I gotta be careful about it.
Where’s the hardgroove and hypnotic techno?
Country would be nice if you'll do that
One vote for county, anybody else?!
It kinda feels like most of what i listen too doesn’t fit in any of these based on the examples.
I do need to make another video about techno. when I made this one I was admittedly very uneducated about techno. In my more recent videos about other genres, I did a lot more research.
Where’s Colour bass ☹
That’s what I’m thinkin
Bro thank you for your effort but you yourself need some learning if you wanna tech 🙌
200step.
My head when the songs played: ⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️
haha I love it
that ghost in the machine sound way more like acid than the first and the third you take as an example. They are sounding way to trancy for da real hard acid in my opinion. Like Johannes Heil, Brixton, Thomas Schumacher, and also material grill. This is acid in my opinion.
Easy -Colorbass
3:58 cheap hardstyle begins here
Brostep.
My no. 1 has to be definitely Future Riddim
Schranz? Dark techno?
colorbass/color riddm
my personal favorite is obviously a mixture of brostep, hardstyle, speedcore, deathstep, future bass and trap.
at least you tried...
And Schranz? It's almost like Hard Techno.
Yes! absolutely. I forgot to mention it at the time I made this video.
ELEPS MENTIONED LETS GOOOOO 🗣️🗣️🗣️ Which sub genre would his song “Broken” be in?
Prolly Melodic Dubstep?
I've been listening to Techno for years yet don't know much of it, but you didn't put what makes Acid Techno Acid Techno. It's the Ronald 303 that makes it Acid, not because it sounds trippy or what. The first example don't even sound like a 303...
Tearout
there was a Sound Remedy song called Chiaroscuro (not sure if it's melodic or chillstep) & it was always in my dubstep subgenre rotations, great video!
Thanks for the support please check out my new video about Synthwave. And, house music is coming up in a few days!
forgot melodic techno
I forgot a lot of things in this video, my man. check out my Dubstep and Synthwave videos! they're better.
My top 5 Dubstep subgenres 1. Deathstep 2. Tearout Dubstep 3.Metalstep 4.Riddim 5.Tearout(which i'm pretty sure it's different from Tearout Dubstep)
I love the list! hell yeah!
I was hoping this was going to be a bit more I’d a how-to, and maybe a list of artists to check out. I do know the movies and shows, but not so much current artists. I do know and like The Midnight though.
do this with trance
I will 😏
Incessant talking, but no actual breakdowns of any synthwave tracks. It wouldn't harm to just let some examples of synthwave play, so that your listeners could at least get some idea of what the genre under discussion actually sounds like. Truly dreadful video. Do better.
annoying u never show some synthwave music
It's mostly because of copyright issues. But also I thought this video didn't really need examples. The background music is Synthwave though.
Precise delivery, great research, overall amazingly informative. Kudos mate!
Thanks man! I appreciate that
I wonder in which genre are victor ruiz, 6ejou, raxeller, anna
Probably hard techno😅
It ain't that hard! but it is kinda complex, don't you think so?
Can you soon show House sub genres?
Absolutely, I'm planning on it actually.
I just uploaded the video about House, make sure to check it out!
Great video but I think that “Glitch-Hop” and “Drumstep” are missing but still a great video 👍
I thought glitch hop was its own thing?
I don't think any of those Tech House examples are Tech House.
None of those are riddim, all brostep, riddim would be Infekt, any kaizoku tune, mad dubz, Aiser, sakuro etc
He used briddim examples for riddim for some reason
my top 5 dub genres: *Tearout:* a heavier form of Deathstep p much, mostly focuses on huge basses with very accentuated transients (known as the "machine gun" bass), but can dive off into other types of sounds (which may lead into the next genre). u got big, u got wide, u got mid-range focus, u got redlines throughout. some good examples imo: Marauda - UMBRA (MUERTE Remix), DVEIGHT & MOB - Devil Tech, Kaifu - SECOND RATE, Secrecy - Ultrasensory *Minatory:* another Deathstep subgenre, usually with really dark atmospheres. considered to be heavier than Tearout iirc. jus take Deathstep and crank it to like 200, and u got Minatory. some good examples imo: Punishment & Avael - Cacophony, Executioner. - SCREAMER *Riddim/Trench:* p much what the dude said in the video. the examples used are dated but could be worse tbh. my examples: break - RES, roi* - Roi The Digger, Infekt - Rewind, Spass - Mystical Powerzz (Amvars Remix) *Neuro:* usually falls into the DnB realm, but it still counts. deals with brain-tickling sounds (a lot of the time featuring some kind of reese bass). not too sure how i'd describe this genre, but it's fun to listen to. some good examples imo: nvctve & Clockvice - Cynic, Myrid - SCAMPER, Vorso - NOT SO FAST!! *Death Trap:* take Hybrid, mix it with Tearout production, and boom diggity u got Death Trap. usually uses the sustains commonly found in Tearout, but can contain other elements. some good examples imo: AKIRA KHAN - Visionary, COLLIXION - Vile
Awesome! Also thanks for the info
