Dude I am super confused rn. I traded a slow king for iron crown on 11/4. It’s in my home deposited.. 11/4. I’m looking through home, I had moved it to scarlet today to finish my Pokédex. All 3 are finished. Move it back to home. Now I’m looking through home. I have the 1 iron crown, deposited 11/4. Still in my home. I have a second iron crown, exactly the same. Same stats, ot, Id number. Even Tera type, which is fighting for some reason. Deposited 11/6. Idk how, idk why. But I’ve managed to duplicate iron crown. All I know, I received it via trade 11/4. Moved it to violet, 11/4, and returned it to home. Got back on today, moved it to scarlet and back. And some how that caused it to dupe.

This is old (incorrect) information. Chains do not matter for overworld spawns in this game.

A bit wrong in what you're telling , Chaining isn’t a thing in Sword/Shield ,only worked in Lets Go Eevee /Pikachu. There is the encounter method however. There is no chaining wild encounters, you just run into them over and over until one is shiny. The chances of getting a Shiny Pokémon are increased with Brilliant Pokémon (The ones that have the yellow aura). You can make them appear more often if you battle 100 of the same specie ,example battling 100 Nickit will have 2x chance of spawning brilliant aura Nickits. Also is important to mention that Brilliant Pokemon will have an egg move and Two Guaranteed Ivs at max . Another thing its only worth to KO 100 Pokemon instead of 500, when you KO 100 , you have max odds for brilliant pokemon to spawn , so KO another 400 of the same its only worth to increase the shiny odds but not for much even at 100 KO you have good shiny odds already if you got the shiny charm, Also your pokedex records how many times you battled with X pokemon. But the chaining does work for Fishing only, if you fish multiple Pokémon consecutively without failing to get the hook, catching, running away or leaving the area, you have a higher chance of finding a Brilliant Pokémon. However, if you fail to get the hook, catch a Pokémon, run away or leave the area, your combo is broken and the rates reset. But that only applies to fishing not wild encounters. More info on that.
