You know as well as i that clay will get his in the end. But its allways been for jax to do that's what was meant from the beginning. Its classic Shakespearean shit this is. It all started when clay killed his father to be with jemma. The rest is the build up to the moment of truth im pretty sure that will be the climax.

The scene where Clay killed Piney was so powerful! To me, one of the best things about season 4 was watching how Clay turned worse and worse each episode 'til he reached rock bottom and is laying in the hospital bed. It's also really powerful when he's in the hospital bed 'cuz to me it's like the mighty lion has finally been taken down if you know what I mean. And I am one of the few who likes Clay. He fucks shit up, but I still like him. Probably 'cuz Ron Perlman is an awesome actor :p.

When he was talking to Lyla he said he was not sure if he loves anything anymore. To me that was the foreshadowing that he was not going to be around much longer. Also Jax was not the closest thing to family he had left. Don't forget he has kids which is why it is all the more sad that they are not enough for him to live.
