    You do not seem to understand yes the B52 isn’t a bad plane and no one’s knocking that but the Vulcans a specialist that was never designed for mass bombing but purely as a nuclear weapon delivery system ,and the reason why the plane was discontinude is that missiles are far more advanced that the 60s so there not really needed , why we have the exercises isn’t to find out who’s got the bigger stick but to find any weaknesses in your defensive systems . You seem to have this we’re better than Britain or Britains better than us but that was never intended, and please remember that a stealth weapon is only as good as the tracking systems your opponent has

    And of course the remaining B-52s have British Rolls Royce engines. No, B-52s were not used in WW2. No heavy jet bombers existed until the early 1950s. If they existed they would have been used on the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear attacks. In fact the original plan was to use RAF crews in British Avro Lancasters as they were the only aircraft at the time with the bomb bay capacity to carry the nukes. Instead the USA spent millions redesigning the B-29 at short notice because they wanted an American aircraft to deliver them.

    Tomatoes originated in the Andes Mountains of South America, where they grew wild in what is now Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador. The Incas and Aztecs were the first to cultivate tomatoes as early as 700 AD. that's where tomartos come from and the reason you call them Frech Fries is from the first world war us soldiers asked what a Belgian what was it called that why you called it that and by the way penicillin yes we dod win you trise to invade Canada not only did you get kicked out of Canada you had you capital burt down thats fact not opion the vikings had most of eastern England your lack of knowledge about history Here's some more information about the history of tomatoes: Domestication The wild tomato was domesticated in pre-Columbian Mexico. The Aztecs improved the look and taste of the wild tomato, producing larger, sweeter varieties that are similar to today's cherry tomatoes. Introduction to Europe The Spanish brought tomatoes to Europe after conquering Mexico in 1519. They likely first arrived in Seville, a major international trade center. Use in Europe In France, Italy, and northern Europe, tomatoes were initially grown as ornamental plants. They were regarded with suspicion as a food because they are part of the nightshade family, which includes the poisonous belladonna. Transformation to a culinary ingredient The tomato's transformation from a herbal to a common culinary ingredient began slowly in the 1700s. The earliest discovered cookbook with tomato recipes was published in Naples in 1692.

    I don't think that many Americans appreciate just how much the UK was on the Front Line during World War II. Just take a look at the figures for civilian war casualties on home soil in the two countries and you will get the picture: USA Hawaii: 68 (Pearl Harbor Attack) Alsaka (Aleutian Islands Campaign, 1942 - 1943): 10 The 48 Contiguous States: 6 (Balloon Bomb, Oregon) TOTAL: 84 UNITED KINGDOM 70,000+ (Largely due to German bombing raids, V1 and V2 attacks) (If you pro-rata that up to take into account the larger population of the USA it would equal 350,000 American civilian casualties.) Now do you understand?

    • @AcesHighSphere
      @AcesHighSphere 3 місяці тому

      I understand, it was rough and the US got off lucky because there was an ocean separating us, unfortunately it lead to many deaths on both sides. The tragic part is that the UK lost so many civilians. Military deaths from US soldiers were higher than all of the UK and crown colonies combined(407k for US, and 383k for UK plus colonies) but with civilians you guys took it. you had 450k total deaths and we only had 419k. Although that was only in half the war. Still though. It was rough

    • @andypandy9013
      @andypandy9013 3 місяці тому

      Diane, From July 1940 to April 1941 the UK WAS the ONLY country in the world receiving the FULL weight of nazi aggression. That is unless you can provide us with the details of the luftwaffe air assaults on Canberra, Ottawa, Delhi and Wellington? Or how the Wehrmacht stood poised to launch its invasion of the Indian sub continent or Canada? Or how the Kriegsmarine attempted to strangle the British Empire out of the war by enforcing a u-boat blockade of Australia and New Zealand? Oh news just coming in...... NONE OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED because as I said above, the ONLY nation facing ALL of those threats between July 1940 and April 1941 was the United Kingdom ALONE. Now you COULD correctly state that the British people were not alone as in 1940 as there was indeed a SMALL number of commonwealth troops in the UK at that time. By the time of the expected invasion in Sept 1940 the British army was fielding 2 British Armoured divisions 2 British independent Armoured brigades 15 British infantry divisions (full strength) 7 British infantry divisions (under strength). 7 British independent infantry Brigades 2 British motor machine gun Brigades 1 Canadian infantry division (full strength) (plus some small under equipped subordinate units of a 2nd division) 2 Australian infantry brigades (BOTH under strength & unequipped) 1 NZ infantry "division" (actually 2 understrength NZ infantry Brigades but with an attached British motor machine gun brigade) In addition to these forces were the 1,500,000 million men of the British "Home Guard". As you can see, as well as being the ONLY country being threatened by nazism from July 1940 to April 1941, the defence of the UK was a +95% British affair. It was in the following years AFTER 1940 that the size of the British Commonwealth forces really started to grow. Glad to have been of help in unburdening you of your misunderstanding in regard of this topic.

    The monarchy is a vital part of the checks and balances that keeps our democracy safe. The monarch isn’t voted in so doesn’t need to manipulate people for position or power. The monarch represents ALL of their subjects and that’s really important. The late Queen was largely seen by Brits as a very fair person who’s mind was sharp as a tack, and could be relied upon to use ‘soft’ influence to stand up for justice and freedom. It’s vital that the monarch remain neutral, be inclusive and not opinionated or divisive. That’s the big problem with Prince Harry and his wife’s antics. True they were personally disrespectful to her and made her last few years a nightmare, breaking the agreements they made with her time and time again, but the big issue isn’t about the nonsense spouted about racism and easily spotted self serving lies, it’s the threat they pose to the constitution. I for one find this worrying, especially that the ageing and ailing King Charles seems unwilling or unable to deal with his brat of a son. Thankfully Prince William the current heir shows all the hallmarks of being very much like his grandmother.

    The Spanish Civil War started in 1936 and ended in 1939 a few months before the outbreak of WW2. The Italian Fascist Party took over Italy in 1922 and the Nazi Party took over Germany in 1933.
