Painting a Young Woman in Acrylic Glazes (Student's Portrait)
In this video, I'll demonstrate how I begin a painting of a Renaissance-style portrait of a young woman with red hair. Specifically, I'll show you how it's vital to create contrast through light and dark values, and cool and warm tones. Keep things simple when you begin, and you'll have the foundations for an excellent painting.

Does matt medium slows drying more than gloss medium?
No, the matte medium doesn't slow down the drying time. Rather, it accelerates it. Gloss medium would as well, but matte medium probably dries faster. In my glazing technique, I like the paint to dry fast, so I can add another layer quickly.
