A better way to think of harmonic Minor is a natural 7. A sharp 7 cannot exist, as it is the root. Please correct me if I said something wrong

you have to be FLEXIBLE....but sense some people PAID thousands to take a TEST.They think it's RULES... ROmans if your;re just using it as REFERENCE.. when playing Blues....ect...A min in 1, 4, 5 ( all minor chords). If we have to play in different KEY to match a FEMALE vocal range.. most of the time we'll have to move UP in PITCH to D MAJOR/B min. it's just EASIER when you're playing in a BAND to communicate. Not every one in the band will be up to par in music theory NOR care to learn it. But I always see it as the C MAJOR scale as the PARENT KEY and LEARN all the different scales..various cadence in C MAJOR/Amin at first...( the chord progression ...even with borrowed or INSERTED chord would be the same in other PARENT KEY or PITCH example...If I wrote a song borrowing chords from various scales...such as A melodic minor.....it's F# aeo b5 ( mode)..it's the Maj6 note/CHORD degree or B min ( dorian b2) or D lyd b7 ( Lydian dominant. some people are going to write the ii ( dim as D Maj or D7) to II In a nutshell..play D7 into G MAJ into C MAJOR... but you can play A min B min /add4 to G Maj.... or simple play a B min chord to where ever. or like this....A min C Maj....B min G Maj....D Maj/F# E min....F Maj...G Maj into C Maj or A min....D min E min F Maj...F#dim G Maj...G# dim into A min or if you borrow from the C Major MAJOR ( Ab)....or/and A Harmonic min ( G#) C Maj....F min....G7 into C MAJ... or C Maj F min Ab Maj G7 into C Maj or play Db maj or C# dim/maj7 ( lyd #2 #6...ect) or aug.... but it's EASIER than most people makes it... it's the same as ....F Maj to F# din.....or G Maj to G# dim You're simply rasing the ROOT of the F maj chord to obtain all b3 intervals... C Maj....D# dim ( but im still holding the C maj ocative,,while playing the Db/C# note as the ROOT..... C Maj D# dim into D min chord.....G7 into C MAJOR some people will simply play A7 into D min into G7 into C MAJOR A min....C Maj A7 D min G7 into C MAJOR or A min C Maj A7 into D min E7 into A min F min A b Maj G7 into C MAJOR This way I DONT SOUND like MILLIONS of other SONGS...lmao or like this...Im going to F min then...Bb Maj7 instead of the Ab Maj...all de time. A min C Maj into F min Bb maj7 G7 into C MAJOR.. or you can even do this.....Ab Maj... or Bb Maj.. From Above or below the Relative min C Maj F min Ab Maj Bb Maj7 G7 into C MAJOR. apply the same concept...to C MAJOR's tonic A min....C maj F Maj .Dbmaj7 G7 into C MAJOR...or B dim into C MAJOR You can alter the F chord to F MAJOR or F min C Maj F min....D maj7 G7 into C MAJOR it's just different ways of applying N6 chords.... The Majors are just for REFERENCE...you can alter them to anything you wish. such as Db Maj , min dim...aug, dominant...ect I just know it works...after all the regular chords..lmao It's EASIER to see it in C MAJOR..at first. Db Maj7.....Eb Maj7......GbMaj7.....Ab Maj7....Bb maj7 ( BUT they're sort of like INVERTED minor chords) sort of like F maj7...is sort of A min inverted. Db Maj7 ( F min) Eb Maj7 ( G min) Gb maj7 ( Bb min) Ab Maj7 ( C min) Bb Maj7 ( D min)... see if I didnt SHOW you that... C Maj.....F min Ab Maj7 G7 into C MAJOR I could had play C Maj F Maj C min G7 into C MAJOR...lmao Im still in C MAJOR as the PARENT KEY.....
