My apologies folks. The guitar solo has some ok bits but really, Im yet to find a really good live version of this song. Jimmy even missed his cue. Then the string picking instead of nice long note holds. I'm disappointed. I know they are better than this.
1979 was a difficult year, Robert lost his son, bonham was just drinking alcohol and jimmy was addict to heroin..

If you enter stairway to heaven live the first version appearing should have 74 million views. I think this is the best performance of the song, i prefer this solo by far to the original one. check it out, in this performance jimmy was high af.

The 80s happened, the guitar disappeared. Even satisfying Indie groups couldn't play that well. Buttons and switches replaced musicians. The industry remained driven by business people , not artists. And many a good band just couldn't keep together.
