@@yusufkaya4529 posted there many times. That’s Elmendorf Lake. Very high pressured fishing and many homeless folks living in the banks. Decent fishing be very careful and bring something to protect yourself. Seriously. It’s a tougher spot Have a magnificent night!

Thanks man, always appreciate you! I fish over in that area in late fall and winter months, when I really attack the creeks. From Brackenridge Park and down through the golf course there is of opportunity. Not a ton of big fish, but many bass and sunfish that put up a good fight in that skinny water. Plenty of big Cichlids through that area as well, they love any type of worms. Give it a try, with the good weather the crowds might be a little crazy on the weekends. @@Aqua_Holic_Fishing good afternoon Aqua !!! 🙌🏽 kinda of an update my son caught 2 bluegill and I snagged a bass but he came off lol also went to green line this morning caught a nice 2 pounder using your tips and advices, couldn't be more grateful 🙌🏽 however after that 1 bass i didn't catch anything, and was wondering what I could do to get more consistent bites? Or is it just how it goes we win some and lose some? Or is there more method to the madness that one needs to learn on their own? @@lonestargreaser5697 Incredible job brother, you caught fish in a very difficult, high pressured body of water! It's hard to gain consistency, as so many variables are always in play. Keep casting and learning along the way! When the bite really dies off, have live worms there, especially for the kiddos. It might not gain a big bite, but will help your chances. Thanks Fernando, appreciate the kind words! Honestly, the lighter gear is much more fun when it comes to jetty fishing overall. If you want a heavy action rod for shark fishing and such, thats not a bad idea. If you like surffishing, thats when you'll want longer rods, in order to get the distance needed to reach the guts. Don't tell them all, but most of the fish you want to catch at the jetties are right on against those rocks. Grab the cheap combos at Academy and Bass Pro Shop with a rod that has some backbone and a reel that can hold 300 yards of line or so. This will support your needs fine and won't break the bank either. Once you find out what really suits your needs, style and budget, you can upgrade if/when necessary. Have a magnificent week sir!
