Hearing insight on Michelle's life experiences really reframes the way you think about your own life path. Living in an active warzone as well as helping bring those in those zones to Canada is really admirable. Loved Isabella's point on how we all are in tech just from living in a world surrounded with it! It's also interesting hearing a perspective post-COVID on how tech and the world is changing.
Very talented speakers, crazy to think that she is did all that with while raising three kids!!🤯🤯
Wow! Interesting listen, AI really is such a fascinating tool for all industries, I'm excited to see where it takes us in the future. When is next episode?
Very thought-provoking podcast, thank you for sharing this!! I learned a lot from it. A lot of people don't realize how difficult it is to raise money for non-profit organizations.
Wow! I agree that plans are the key to success. I find that planning my day helps to ensure future goals.
Very interesting and inspirational storytelling. Thanks, Prof. Goyanes
Make your children and learn from children not from dogs …..s
I like how Andres shares insights about creativity. 👍🏾
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your exciting podcast. It was an honor to share bits and pieces of my career development journey and how I managed to remain relevant and resilient during the ever-changing business landscape.
That is such an impactful and insightful podcast. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The best part of the podcast is that it touches on a number of diverse topics, which made me feel like there are many things in my life that I have to do. I can say that I relate 100% to this podcast. Professor Andres Goyanes is an inspiration to me and all future leaders who want to bring change to the world through their knowledge and competence. I truly envision myself becoming like him one day. Thanks a lot to Isabella Johnston for bringing this podcast and to Professor Andres Goyanes for sharing many insightful topics about his life, career, and journey to becoming a world leader. I wish both of you success in all your future endeavors.
What an amazing story about how he started his company. There is always people saying that their career was blocked when their children came into their lives. Nonetheless, Rey shows everyone that kids are more of a motivation than a obstacle to overcome, which is an astonishing take a way from this episode. On the other hand, I feel related to what he said about the Call Of Duty game, although I prefer to play Valorant.
Diana is honestly impressive for managing to take on cancer, and then continuing on to keep achieving things. It's good to see that she's still working and hope to see what else she achieves in the future.
Most of Dave's story is actually a bit fascinating, given how he blended his various experiences together. The story of how he started raising his prices and getting more respect, was fascinating to see that change occur, as it almost sees like a reversal of what should happen.
Matthew had some really good points here, and he's had an interesting career so far. This is one of the unique podcasts because typically people get interviewed over the computer. Being in person makes it different.
Listening to Michelle's life was really cool. I think my favorite part is how many different places she's been, it felt like I was listening to the plot of a spy movie! I feel like the future being analog is inevitable, especially with all of the negative effects we are seeing with the world being overly digitized, in fact, I saw a survey showing that digital ads are becoming less effective because consumers are shown so many ads that they are unable to remember the ads that they have seen. Because of this there will be a shift to more physical advertisements focusing on the consumer's experience.
Michelle has had a interesting life, I'll agree. This gave me a lot of information about how a simple job can lead to a a great many different adventures.
Not that into the AI technology and programming, but this was a good explanation and summary for me to understand some of it.
It was interesting to learn more about medical procedures and billing from the doctor's perspective and see how crazy it is for what insurance will and won't cover. Daniel's commitment to providing the best possible care to his patients was also super admirable and made me really respect him as a person and as a medical professional. Overall I very much enjoyed this podcast.
I loved how he described himself as a lifelong learner, especially when he shared how he taught himself to be a programmer by reading programming/software development books. Great mentor advice as well. I shared this episode with my internship class forum. Hopefully, it can inspire my classmates as much as it inspired me.
The way that Alex's interview was structured helped show his personality and his backstory. I liked how the podcast was broken into segments regarding each part. The Pursuit of Happiness video was well done at the end as well.
What a truly inspiring story. Showing no matter your circumstances in life, keep working toward your goals and dreams; just do it! The Melrose Center is amazing, I remember training there when I was hired to work for OCLS, as a Tech Trainer for the Southeast Branch.
I really enjoyed listening to this podcast as I believe Matthew made many great points that not only relate to the business world but also to everyday life. If you aren't willing to take risks you'll never be able to learn about the possibilities that could be and you'll never reach your full potential. I loved the haptic gloves as well and had no idea why I had never heard of them before. Overall I enjoyed this podcast.
It was interesting to learn more about Justin's opinion on technology and how fast things are constantly changing in the business world. As he said these companies are asking how to get ahead a year but at that point, they are already three years behind. Staying ahead of technology and new trends is going to be a must for businesses and organizations to stay relevant. Great podcast and a great watch!
After listening to this podcast I am in awe of what an amazing woman Diana is. The things she was able to do even after being diagnosed with cancer are nothing short of amazing. This was a great podcast to listen to and I can't wait to look and see what amazing things she will continue to do in the future.
I really enjoyed this episode of The Intern Whisperer featuring Sean Pinnock. Sean's journey from childhood dreams inspired by "Ready Player One" to creating a human-centric game studio is inspiring. His vision of the future of games as immersive VR experiences showcases his innovative thinking and passion for the industry he works in. I hope to one day have just as much passion for my work as he so obviously displayed throughout the interview. One piece of advice I resonated with was his mentoring advice with his emphasis on learning to be content with who you are today. This is a valuable reminder in our fast-paced society that I feel like many people forget. It's important to appreciate who we are now and who we can become. Additionally, his point about determination being a key driver in one’s life journey is motivational. Determination is an important trait that can allow us to reach our goals.
It was great hearing Matthew's story and more about his businesses. I like how he talked about being persistent and never giving up, which is very important, as it was what led him to continue building projects with his team. I do agree with the risk-taking part, you need to put yourself in uncomfortable situations, and you can learn a lot from them. High risk, high reward. I thought that it was clever the way that he came up with the business name. I found the haptic gloves to be a very cool creation.
It was interesting to hear about Anna's story and how she went to a boarding school and also to different countries, along with the challenges that she faced. I liked how she shared the mentoring advice of networking as it is important to get out to talk and listen to other people as you can build your confidence and get new ideas, listen to advice, and get potential opportunities. I can definitely see the advantages and disadvantages of a remote job. I do see how people will start to rely a lot on AI and not want to do research for themselves, which can be a problem. I enjoyed listening!
It was nice tuning into this podcast. That is nice that Jenny is a photo booth enthusiast and found using that as a way to help the children feel more comfortable to share their experiences. It is great that she had the idea to start video-based educational content before UA-cam had started so that children were able to use it to learn without having to leave their homes. I found the power posing concept to be very interesting, as well as the laughing when walking into a room to boost confidence.
I enjoyed listening to this podcast. It was nice to see the views on whether college is necessary and the different types of majors that it is required for, as well as how everyone can benefit from it. I have been seeing so much usage of AI, an example would be in social media how it can generate images based on the prompt given, and it can be hard sometimes to distinguish if it is real or fake. Great listen!
Stopping by to say hello!
Thank you for having me on the podcast!
Our pleasure!
Im ok with not being remembered
'promosm'
Ariane Fikki made a great point about how, as women, we're often told to blend in, but she was advised to embrace standing out and being herself. That's so empowering! And when she talked about believing in yourself being the toughest lesson she learned, man, I felt like I could relate so much as a woman trying to figure things out. Everyone's got an opinion, but staying firm on your path and being authentic is key. Her emphasis on learning as much as you can and getting involved in communities is so important! Making connections and being part of something bigger can really help you along the way. And I feel like that is good to know.
Sean Pinnock's story is super inspiring! He started from scratch, but through sheer determination, he built himself up big time. What really hit home was his attitude about failure. He's all about embracing it, saying you have to fail a bunch before you hit success-it's like a motto to live by. Another thing he mentioned that really stuck with me is this idea of leading by example, like how the leader of a tribe would be the first one out there hunting. He applies that to his business, always putting in the work and leading the charge. It's pretty cool to see someone with that kind of drive and determination. Like, he's not just the boss, he's in there grinding with the team, making sure everyone wins. That's the kind of leader we all wanna be! or hope to have!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and comments. I agree, Sean is a great leader that motivates and inspires others.
Great pod!
Thank you Isabella for the honor to be on your show! I look forward to hopefully returning in the future and providing more ways that women can help other women as we continue to grow and evolve our businesses!
Thank you for being a guest on the show. Your thoughts on Future of Work and Neuralink were incredibly interesting.
It's hard in this day and age-and especially in the games industry it feels-to be a believer that sticks to their values is an incredible challenge. Thank you for speaking openly about it!
Roger: You’re doing important work exposing the “optimization” drones who incorrectly think what they’re doing is innovating. Also, I hadn’t considered how exploited the founder class in the start up world was until this video. It’s not an area I have experience in but your thesis is backed by the plain reality that there’s a whole lot of talk about innovation but there don’t seem to be great new helpful goods and services hitting the market. Your point about the drug cartels being perhaps the best place for investors who are looking for a solid ROI made me laugh out loud. Keep up the good fight!
Excited to get the book - post the link here 🎉
Love it! Fun intro. Incredible perspective on how to help solve the unhealthy current unbalanced reality with typical investors especially in the startup space… and agree with the innovation piece as well. I believe the issue lies in the collective cultural society. as a lifetime entrepreneur I’d like to dig in more with the HOW we bring light and or solutions to this
Isabella should have you on, especially!!
Lots of comments
For realsies. What did you like about his interview?
Yeah Shawn you’ve got more to say than that! What do you think about the use of AI for cold calling? What does innovation in business prospecting look like? What’s the difference between selling an optimization tool and a REAL innovation?
Caris' development from student to successful entrepreneur is very inspiring! It shows what you can accomplish with perseverance and fortitude.
Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to go through. I can't imagine losing both at such a young age.
Really solid advice! Immerse yourself in the world you're transitioning to.
I enjoyed this podcast a lot. She’s very inspiring and I love her personality! @jdoe12123 I recommend to listen to this podcast
I liked when you guys talked about a quote called “successful people do that unsuccessful aren’t doing” it was a really good quote that inspired me a bit.
I can tell he is passionate about the industry. And I like the journey that he had to get where he is now.
❤️❤️❤️
Wow! Such a passionate and powerful speaker!
