Just seen this movie today. Don’t know how I missed it. I loved it. It’s one of those movies that will stay with me forever. It’s real, honest, touching and funny as hell. Yet, I balled like I never balled before. And even Emilia’s performance here brought the waterworks back.

What drives me crazy is that people just don't get it. Yes CODA means children of deaf adults, but it ALSO is a musical term. It means go to the end of the song. This song is about the end of youth. It's the whole point of the song. It's what she meant when she wrote it. The beauty of the symbiotic meaning is the whole point!

The vulnerable and slightly nervous voice is so human and brings out every emotion possible in the audience, that I think it's the best song and best delivery I have ever heard and is way up there with Adele and the Barbra Streisands of this World. The innocence and beauty of Emilia is stunning in its simplicity.

So was this British Sign Language? It doesn’t look like ASL to me. But maybe it’s just the way they interpreted the song. I don’t even know if there is a. British Sign Language. I assume so since I know there is a Scottish Sign Language and while most signs are the same some are different. I worked with an interpreter using Scottish Sign Language while I used ASL. It was an interesting experience. Looking it up all I see if British Sign Language even for Scotland, so maybe BSL and SSL are the same language thing.
