I know you don’t drink (keep it that way!) but imagine you were at a Father’s Day party having a few beers on your day off when they called… What if you drove out of town? Don’t think they can hold that against you if there’s no “on call” schedule.

Glad to see you hitting the weights! Do the major muscle groups once or twice a week, with at least a couple days in between for recovery. So like for chest, try to do 4 sets - 10 reps, 8 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps (or 10, 8, 6, 4, modify as needed) adding weight each set, so your last one is the heaviest. Same thing for squats.
OK I was doing 3 sets so I'll add an extra, I'll try to do the heaviest last but I ne over heard that before, to me I'd be to weak to do one rep
@Depressed-Unwanted-Man try to ease into it maybe, 3 sets, starting with just the bar, or even a couple dumbbells until you can do the bar (bar by itself is usually 45 lbs). Taking pre-workout can help give you a little energy boost too. I use one called C4 - mix in a cup of water about 20 minutes before your workout. Can get some at GNC. Take protein afterward. You got this dude!
