Yes it was, but totally worth it. The scenery was mind blowing. Best to do it in good company. That is why we did it with @thekombichronicles.
@@FearlessOnFourWheels did you come across many other overlanders doing the journey at the same time?
@@mrheaneyp we say al lot of organised tours doing some of the route, and one couple overlanding in a big truck. But we know other overlanders that did the route.
@@FearlessOnFourWheels but you don’t need one of those big overland trucks to make the journey. You guys did it in a Toyota and the Kombis did it in a very old VW. Which is amazing and so inspiring 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

IS there a name for this route or where it originates?? I've seen a few videos featuring it but nobody seems to share exactly what/where it is.
The route is called Via ferria it starts about 50km North of Bucaramanga and heads west. It is added on iOverlander.

Ah that's a shame your time in Peru is being disrupted, we had such an amazing 2 months there and are planning on returning mid September.
This was in February this year and we are heading back to Peru in a few weeks so it was not that bad an experience.

Jaguars onça have the most powerful bite of all big cats, even his name in guarani "yaguareté" means: that kills in one atack" that majestic creature bites direct in the head usually, not the neck..and his powerful jaws Just cracks open the cranium! This animal is so respect that even tha ancient amazon people have the tale of the yaguareté-aba, the Brazilian version of the werewolf 😂.. the Brazilian army have some of them in projects of conservation and uses in training too ✌🏻🏋️🐆
