We’re traveling the world on a mission to live our dream life and inspire others to do the same.
We met in New York City in 2014, we got married in 2015 and fell for the usual traps of getting into tons of debt from school. After years of hard work we paid off $150k worth of debt, but then the pandemic hit.
We decided that we’d have enough of the “American dream” and wanted to live a new dream so we became digital nomads.
We sold everything that we owned, packed our life into a few bags and bought a one way ticket out of the US. After almost four years of living abroad, in Mexico, Panama and all over Europe, we finally launched our UA-cam channel to bring you on this journey with us as the real adventure is just getting started!
We want to inspire as many people to live their dream lives as possible.

We Moved Back to Panama (and We Got Detained!)
We did it, we moved back to Panama! This was the second country we visited when we left the US and we fell in love with it. We come back every two years to renew our permanent residency, but this time we plan on staying for a while. We’re on our way to Panama City to buy a car, but something unexpected happened.. We got detained at the airport! This was our first time that something like this has happened, so we didn’t know what to expect.
We are digital nomads on a mission to live our dream lives, we escaped the 9-5 and we’re looking for our favorite places to live in the world so we can keep slow traveling or create home bases around the world. There are so many things to think about once you have this kind of freedom and we hope our channel becomes a resource to help you on this challenging but rewarding journey.

Did We Make a Mistake Becoming Digital Nomads?

After 3.5 years of traveling the world as digital nomads, we returned to Florida and found ourselves questioning whether leaving the U.S. in the first place had been a mistake. We came to Florida for a week to spend time with family and see if we could convince ourselves to live here again. The warm weather and stunning coastline immediately drew us in, and the prospect of beachside living had ...

Skipping over the "Politically Charged" part as politics is what you make of it and how you respond to it. In my life, no matter who won, I had to go to work the next day. Day to day life does not change. You mention upsides for the life you've grown accustomed to in Latin America but I see no mention of one of the biggest negatives in all of Central and South America, safety and security. Those by themselves outweigh most any possible negatives here in the states, especially a state like Florida that takes a no nonsense approach to dealing with crime. Even when it comes to politics, much more volatile in Central and South America. Govt's can not only change, but change from a democracy to a dictatorship too easily, see Venezuela if you doubt me. I have friends there that cannot escape, barely are surviving and can rarely communicate with anyone outside the country. No doubt you have had wonderful experiences elsewhere but I have to disagree that they add up to something much better than the USA. My experiences in Colombia and Mexico tell me differently.
You’re right. Although, “knock on wood” nothing bad has happened to us. Sometimes bad things do happen and we hear about them from friends and from people in town. However, negative things can happen anywhere. There’s a level of risk with these travels, which for us, is worth the fun and the adventure. Which is what is it, a journey, it will go right and it will go wrong from time to time and we’ll share it all right here.
@ Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time traveling through Colombia but my family kept thinking I wasn’t coming back. I wouldn’t trade that time for anything. You are lucky to have these adventures and I agree, it’s a journey and I wish you the best in them. I stumbled across your channel and I’ll keep an eye out for the next video.
More like Colombia of Europe.

A you’re right, thanks for correcting.
Life is more expensive now . In 2011 for two double bedrooms flat used to pay 150$ and was next to the cost every morning used to see the sea . I was a student there best time ever Vlora is beautiful
It certainly is, nice, two double bedrooms that’s a great deal. Yeah that sea area makes you feel so good, every morning.
Corfu is a magical place. This beautiful island is everything
Agreed and the Canal d'Amour is incredible 😍
Some of the mistakes we made: 1. Staying by the airport: We did this because we got a free stay with Hyatt but with such a short amount of time it may or may not make sense for you to stay near the airport but it definitely made enjoying Paris more difficult. 2. We were coming from Albania and we were surprised by how cold Paris actually was in April, we weren't properly dressed. 3. We underestimated the effect the Olympics would have on our plans to have a picnic under the Eiffel tower so that didn't go as expected at all. 4. We didn't pull out any euros since we were only in Paris for one day but that turned into an issue on our next mistake... 5. We got onto the bus and asked the bus driver where to get the ticket, she tried to sell us a ticket but we didn't have euros, we asked how to get it and she told us we can text a number on our phone, while we were trying to get it figured out the RATP came onto the bus to fine us. Okay yes it's our fault for not having the ticket before we got on the bus but it felt more like entrapment this way. Now if you aren't from France you might know the RATP is amongst the most hated companies in France. This can happen to you even if you did properly have a ticket but the machines are broken and didn't validate it properly. Apparently there is no enforcement on actually making foreigners pay these tickets so some people have waited for the police to come to write them a ticket so they can throw it away and carry on with their lives. Don't make the same mistakes we did. Get yourself a Navigo pass you can recharge it every time you go to Paris. If we were to do this again, we'd try to go to Versailles and try to find the hidden gems and local spots, we loved Montmartre, but the tourist traps are definitely there in a city like Paris.
YESSSSS 🩵
😮 is this Albania ? 🎉 really adorable ! Where is this city ?
It really is, but you have to be careful of a few things. Don’t go during Jun-Aug, as it is the busiest season. You can go before and get an apartment for 6 months to a year directly from owners. When shopping for groceries, go to local farmers, they’re everywhere in the cities. This particular city is Vlore, southwest, near Greece. For the best deals use: www.merrjep.al
Your best best is to contact me :)

You are a very beautiful couple😊
Thank you 😊
If its remote locations, one will need a car and cost will be way more then $200.
Hi Natalia, thanks for the kind words, up top. Yes indeed, if it’s in a remote location, it will cost more for the car but even less for the apartment as everyone wants to be near lungomare. It is very important to note that these deals can be found outside of the high season (Jun-Aug). Since we’re new to this, we’ve been experimenting with different video styles and this one took off more than others. We realize now that it could have been better and focused more on the $200 apartment, and to help the viewers get these deals,we’ll list the Albanian website that the local use to go direct to owner: www.merrjep.al. If you check there, you’ll find out studios in lungomare for even slightly below $200. Appreciate your engagement 😊

Hi, so a friendly suggestion. If you want to come in Greece and visit a popular place, but you don't want to pay too much, or being in a place that it is really crowded, visit it September or May. The weather is usually really good and you can benefit from the prices and from the lesser tourists.
Thanks for the suggestion, that does sound like a great time to do it.
Awesome video Guys!! Corfu is my favorite Greek island of Greece. Not only because It's the most beautiful island anywhere but I lived in corfu as a 10 year old kid for 6 summer months in 1978..To me it was like being in Monaco...truly was!!
Wow that sounds like a dream 😍 Thanks so much for sharing. We love Corfu! 🥰
Greece has the best ⛱️ beaches.

Looking back this was one of the funniest videos so far, don't miss the part where Kostika crashes our rental car. It's a real nail biter. 😅
Btw Albania became very expensive lately
@ErisstheGoddessofmanhwas we heard from family as well. Hopefully it will stabilize to scale growth in a healthy way.
After people see this video this will jot be the cheapest place anymore 😅
Corfu is such a beautiful island 🏝 we visited Corfu last year after Lefkada island and it was beautiful 😍
Lefkada sounds amazing, the only islands we've visited are Corfu and we lived on Crete for 3 months in the winter but can't wait to go island hopping around Greece and explore more of the islands, I'm extra excited to visit Milos one day. 🥰 What are your favorite spots in Lefkada?

Thank you!
Hey, I really liked your Albania videos. I have two questions about a trip there. In Vlorë, where you rented the cheap apartment, do the locals understand English? Also, how's the mobile internet and data plans situation? Roaming is super expensive, and we need mobile internet for navigation and translation. It would be awesome if you could mention this in your upcoming videos.
Hey! Thanks, most locals understand English, if not, they’ll call their children, because the schools are now in English. The couple we rented from do, they’re a bit more expensive, but they hook things up. Again a bit more is still around $400-$500, as long as you’re not trying to get it from jun-Aug. For the internet, we get a Vodafone sim, about $16/month, don’t remember if it was unlimited, but it never ran out on us. The prices are on their desk so you don’t have to worry about haggling. Let us know if you go and best of time :)
We hope you're enjoying our Corfu adventures, swimming in Corfu town with that view of the Fortress was amazing! We will be posting our final Corfu video on Wednesday. Don't miss the next video as it has one of the most unexpected/funny/and nail biting moments when we're beach hopping and Kostika makes a big mistake. Looking back it was one of our funniest moments but it didn't feel that way at the time. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much avalinth, super appreciate your support. I was born in Korce, Albania and lived there for the first 13 years. Then my family moved to the States, where I grew up, school, college all of that. I met Ica in NYC, and she grew up in Seattle, Washington. We did the corporate life in the US for 10 years and although money was good, we were not happy, most people around us weren’t happy and it got to the point where we just couldn’t take it anymore. It was either start taking antidepressants or change our life. We chose the second option, and it felt scary and uncertain. There are still waves of fear but the hope washes them off. We kept saying to ourselves that despite the global problems there’s got to be a way to really fall in love with life, be excited about waking up and deep in our hearts feel actual joy and hope for the future. In the middle of the 2020, we started selling all of our belongings, reduced to two backpacks, two small carryons, one large suitcase and left on a one way trip to Mexico by the end of 2020. To our surprise, our jobs continued for two years while we worked remotely. We never bought a house and we don’t have kids, so it was easier to make these kind of moves. By the end of 2022, we went to Europe and made Albania our home base. At this time we made our most courageous decision. We decided to go completely on our own, quit our jobs, start consulting instead and whatever time that was left, educate ourselves on becoming content creators and start practicing. Since we were in Albania in the winter, we decided to start our UA-cam journey and jump in those waters whether it was freezing or not and kept on shooting and editing to this day. Now we find ourselves in the tropics of Panama, Costa Rica next then all over Asia. We have one north start ahead of us, which is to deep in our hearts, fall in love with life and show the world our journey. We’re not there yet, but we believe that we can do this, without changing anything in the world but ourselves. Now, back to Albania, and rent costs. This is how things actually work. Many locals and first or second generation Albanians who invest in properties there, do it as a way to grow their money by appreciating property or flipping. Rent and Airbnb is not quite that profitable yet but it’s rapidly gaining popularity and growth. You want to meet the landlords and if you stay any period of six months or more, you can negotiate $200/month, for a one bedroom. One American there negotiated $100, but it was away from the beach. We didn’t get good enough footage of this as we shot that when we were really bad at it, so didn’t include. The couple that we rented from in Vlore, has such priced apartments, and there’s also the Albanian website that all locals use to buy/sell rent anything which is: www.merrjep.al. In major cities like, Tirana, Durres and Vlore, almost everyone speaks English. Albanians are all about face to face meetings at cafes and negotiations. However, in the summer months: Jun-Aug it is almost impossible to find a deal because everyone wants to be there. The funny part is that, in April-May, and Sept-Nov you can the have warm sunny days, which the locals avoid entirely because the calendar overrules reality. Lastly Albania, allows US citizens to stay for one year, no questions asked, no visa, nothing. I’m not sure what happens with other passports, but for US is also a nice place to go in and out of Schengen. There are many nuances, which we’ll cover throughout our videos, because it would be super long to do in a few, and quite boring. Instead we’ll do our best to entertain and sprinkle the boring like salt and pepper. Hope this clarifies things a bit, and do now that your words made our day and fuel our hope. Thank you!
So....what exactly is your "ONLY $200/MONTH?!" referring to? If there is an apartment or hotel for that price please reply with its name.
Hi Lank, The one bedrooms and studios can be had for $200 with a one year lease. The ones we’re showing are higher because it’s not direct from owner, they’re a leasing company, whom are very nice and you can contact them on the WhatsApp link and even tell them that it’s from our UA-cam video. However if you want to go direct to owner, the locals do it here: www.merrjep.al. This can be accessed in English on desktop: www.merrjep.al/njoftime/. I just checked today and there’s still some for $200. The ones from the link we provide are all included, even internet. If you are thinking about going there, we’re happy to connect you with people. Just let us know.
Thank you.
We hope you enjoyed our video, we switched up our gear and improved the stabilization on this trip. Hopefully, you can notice. We have lots of exciting adventures to share on Corfu, so we'll be posting extra videos on Wednesday in addition to the weekly video on Saturday for the next two weeks. See you there 🥰 🎉
