This footage is captured from the Hatchery in Hood River Oregon.
Known for its wind sports these waves are created from a river running against the wind. Creating nearly standing waves in the Columbia river.

Josh Ku has the SoCal foiling experience visiting the famous San Onofre. Los Angeles Foil Club or more famously known LAFC had a community day where all foilers united and played in the water. Was super fun seeing all the different disciplines such as prone, sup, foil assist and tow boogie all playing together. Thankyou Roy and Karen from Kaohi Leashes who made this day possible

This is another episode of a friendly challenge Sim from @voyagerfoiler5976 and myself did at the spot known as MOKES on the North Shore of Oahu. We tried to flat water out of the lagoon and send it down to the finish. It ended up turning into a playful surf run Thanks Christian for the Drone work

This Downwind run is one of the longer runs you can do on the island of Oahu. I was lucky enough this day to join up with locals Ryan, Brian and Aaron. The run reminds me alot of the Maliko run in Maui and the most special part for me was coming in at Mokes and seeing the beautiful mountains on the shoreline.

What a great concept, both of you were ripping. I agree with the other commitments about watching the split screen thats hard on the brain. I feel for those who automatically write you off because you have a FD on board. The two keys were flow Vs snappieness. Tough call but im saying Josh, i like the slightly more aggressive style.

Love the concept, hard to watch both at the same time though. Maybe try a shorter stretch of the coast, or just a 1 minute submission? Keen to try it with you at home at Brownwater this summer. You could get judges on the headlands with start and finish gates. I think it could be super fun!! Oh and I'm gonna give it to Kuey, but as everyone has said it is a tight call. Jack was smoother and probably put together a cleaner run but Kuey's run was a bit spicier, harder turns and bigger bumps, but with a few mistakes/misreads which really made it a close call.
@@jamescasey7393 haha it’s on ! Has to be filmed ! Dw is too far away from land to properly judge with eyes on a cliff ( or maybe not fun as they will be getting blown around )

Winging has truly taken over here, but DW is 'sploding, both in the corridor and out east. Seems like only a few years ago (`19?) I spotted the Spencer Boys by Wells Island pumping like crazy on first-gen foil SUPs... got myself a SIC Marlin to give it a whirl... quickly realized it's a younger person's sport. 😉

Slightly Jack, but hard to believe how well Josh keeps the pod from dipping.
Drone footage of Josh is like main street media of our pres election.. Chase footage of Josh is Money! You both kill it in the carve but leaning towards the home boy for style with the board shorts and no shirt in that cold water.... Hawaiians showing strength.. Love the format but think the shooter makes too much difference. May need to add some carve data to quantify... Love and Aloha!

My 2 cents: the entry should be 1:1, so either both Foil Drive or both prone, or both SUP paddle up. Still, epic footage and soundtrack which now lives rent free in my mind.
Interesting how given the choice, neither chose paddle up.
