I'M So Nervous after reading comments. I have a QX50 Infinity. The diagnostic reading says oi need a fuel sensor But do i have to replace the fuel pump too or is that the same thing 😢😢😢😢
Hey sir I have a question, as I was reading my instructions on the harness it says the positive in the colors as the solids mark as positive while stripe and solid are negative so I'm confused thanks for the info!
I got a whole new Fuel Pump, and new sending unit behind the drivers side and still getting incorrect readings..... I simply refil after i get to 150 miles now and reset the gauge.
Yes, I just did it on my 2005 infiniti fx35 (RWD). Here's what I have found that is slightly different. There are 2 sending units, one on the passenger's side AND one on the driver's side. The passenger side is a bit more difficult because it has the fuel line, pump and sending unit all in one. The driver side is easier with just a float sending unit. The only thing not covered here is: remove the gas filling cap on the side of the vehicle before you start and you won't have but 2 or 3 drops of fuel when you disconnect the fuel line. Here is another big tip. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS ON A FULL TANK. I was going to do it last weekend, but out of fear of running out of gas, I kept it topped off. I loosened the first screw and fuel started gushing out so I canceled that attempt. Set your trip odometer at zero on the next fill up and drive at least 200 miles before working on the fuel tank. Hope this helps.
Probably late to the party but as I was trying to hard wire the head unit today I had the red and violet together and the yellows together I noticed a brown and a red/blue ik the red and blue are illumintination wire so I don’t need it but as I had those yellow and red wires connected I tried to ground it off to see if would come on and nothing would happen my volt netter didn’t read anything as well any help?
My 2011 Infiniti Fx 35 has the same issue, and could you please tell me how many fuel pumps this car, do I need to clean both, or just clean the right side? thank you!
How is it that the plug came out without using the 14mm socket on the first plug right side of the car. It appears that it was not screwed in all the way.
I am assuming your vehicle is running with new fuel pump. Does the fuel gauge read anything? Does it move when you consume gas or fill up? If it does not, I would look at connections, fuse, and fuel gauge replacement.
Yes new fuel pump and new fuel sending unit.and yes it reads but sometimes the fuel tank is empty and on the cluster says that still have half thank or less.in a few words does not read well
Does it show your middle screen saying 0 miles left with the gas gauge on e
really side2side!?! Just a lil tip it doesn’t matter which way,it actually cleans the contact slide switch better if you clean it up and down,
Helped alot Thank you
On the right hand side that was a PCV valve that you pulled the hose off of.
thanks a lot. i got my fx35 fixed too this way !!! dont forget second tank also has level gauge !!!

Thanks for the great video. How did you get the carpet up without ruining it? Do you have a video on that?
I did not have to remove the carpet. Only the back seat.
@@brunogasbarro7872 thanks! Will this also work on 2013 qx50?

Did you ever figure out the problem? I'm having the same issue
This worked for me, but I would recommend not doing this with a full tank of gas as I did. It was messier than it should have been.
This may work for some, for those of you who’ve watched and done this and it didn’t work the ac amplifier behind the radio is the culprit.
Any video on this?
@@jayfalcon22 I do have a video I think. If I can find it I’ll upload it and put the link to it here.
Your smokers cough is annoying.
If it bothers you that much don't view my video's.
My 2011 FX35 insists I’ve got nothing in the tank, thank you so much for this video!
isnt' the oem best spark plug for this type of car? it will also last longer

Will it work on fx35 2004?

thanks for the video and that smokers cough has gotchu! Too late homie.
I just love enquiring something of you tube. You could inquire information on the Wright brothers flyer and get imformative videos on thr F-14.
Great job man
Will it work with FX 35 2012?
I would think so.
yes will work on any vehicle that has a float switch for the gauge built into the fuel pump which i think most do
My 2011 Infiniti Fx 35 has the same issue, and could you please tell me how many fuel pumps this car, do I need to clean both, or just clean the right side? thank you!
Only has one.
That was a great question, when ever I search the part is says there's a left and right..🤔
Thank you. I will clean mine this week. The gauge has fooled me a number of times.

I’m confused. Is the fuel pump , fuel gauge & fuel sending unit all the same part ?
Yes on the passenger side. Some Infiniti's have two sending units.
@@chucksmith9633 driver side is the fuel filter and t he passenger side is the pump on the g37 .
Do you know what that plug was on the right that was t plugged into anything
I do not. Possibly a connection to amplifier or something additional in a more upgraded vehicle (Armada, etc.)
Hey did this work for you after cleaning it? I’m experiencing the same issue with my Infiniti fx45.
Yes it worked for about a year. The problem will come back. Don't let fuel gauge get below quarter tank.
Bruno Gasbarro I thinking about just getting the sending unit replaced to be safe.
cool, thanks for the info, just what i was looking for.
Thanks! Good Stuff, what all were you working on / putting in the truck?
replacing stock radio with pioneer and adding backup camera
What about if I replaced the fuel pump and still not reading ok?

@@pablomoreno7474 seems float valve is not synced with gauge in the assembly. Did something get pumped while installing?
