Rather than get caught up trying to explain foot sweeps with fancy names. I try to break it down into simpler categories -Chop out a post -Block the stepping foot -Follow the trailing foot

@@Echion_Gonzo yeah it is the weird one at first, but feels the most effortless when the timing is nice

For anyone with a Karate background, this bow & arrow elbow from the clinch is one of the first moves we do in Tekki/Naihanchi kata, which is all based on fighting in the clinch. Thank you for the awesome takedowns that flow from the elbow. My favorite is the knee-tap. Great lesson!
That's awesome!
Beautiful! Subscribed
Love it! 🔥
phenomenal demo master 🥇🥇 show techniques on this UKE bow and arrow choke, (back, ezekiel and other) GI chokes, sankaku jime (every sankaku) please thanks 💪💪🔥🔥
i was struggling with this too when i go against wrestlers
Excellent stuff! 🔥
Uĥhh, most people don't just defend with one hand, though. I mean, it seems and mechanically works effectively to break the grip when it's 2 on 1, but I think when the other arm comes into play it would be an issue for this. Then again, you could trap one arm with a hook, plus grip fighting is a fight and no technique is 100%.
Well stay tuned I've got a pretty deep bag of tricks for this position and I'm going to try to show a bunch of them. That said once you have experience with the script break you can create this situation intentionally by provoking actions that cause them to align their hands this way
lol you won’t do that too me
:)
🤩 *promo sm*
And it all starts with that nice Kimura grip! Solid technique, great music 🎶 selection too.
Marlboro rash guard is sick
WTF is this shit We have fake ju jitsu now?
This will not work against a wrestler or trained athlete.
Do a brief Google search on ADCC West Coast Trials 88kg finals match Free your mind ✌🏽
In geen beret training. We call that a freebie.. that move will give us your back....Good stuff!!
A great move for tournaments.. but in a real life fight, gotta watch for a blade to the Back!
Real talk! Hate when people escalate to edges weapons when I'm just over here trying to to calmly break their foot. What's the world coming to?
We need this tutorial. I tried to find but not like yours 😮
phenomenal demo master 🥇🥇 show techniques on this UKE bow and arrow choke, (back and other) GI chokes, kneebar, toe hold please thanks 💪💪🔥🔥
Did you guys understand anything??? Holly cow....The BJJ IQ this guy have
I sort of disagree about only being limited to the 2 in southpaw along with the other options you provided. In regards to the jab- you can win that lead hand battle with an array of different things one being (high hand wins) when your hand is higher than your opponent’s your opposition now has to punch up hill to get to your face. You can also set a bit of a deceptive rhythm with the lead hand battle. A lot of guys move their lead hands in a synchronized rhythm as they try to establish lead hand dominance, you can take advantage of this buy by going along with that rhythm and then breaking that rhythm by sneaking your jab in-( touch, touch, touch, jab). I agree with what you were saying as far as the different options but it’s also important to know that your jab(lead hand) is still viable . I will be joining your gym soon you seem like a very good coach can’t wait to be apart of the team!
We absolutely agree, check out the other video I did on landing the jab vs a southpaw. Pernell Whitaker was one of the best jabbers ever as a southpaw. The "Rules" I'm laying out are simple guidelines for fighters starting out, but there is endless nuance. Can't wait to see you soon!

Priit stuff always good. I use his stuff a lot to get out of bad positions and re attack again. Baby Bridge changed a lot of stuff.

been watching a lot of Priit Mihkelson and playing a ton of turtle lately so def trying this out this week
yeah Priit is the man, him & Bendy are the inspo on these. Trying to find a way to drill it where students can improvise and bring it over to live work more easily
Yeh your teaching rotating front foot is so wrong in MMA
Amazing video bro, I think my left shoulder is a bit sore from following through too much. Gonna practice this daily. 😊
Hello sir, irrelevant to the video, but I've been watching your guillotine videos, got any tips for threading the needle when stuck in bottom side control with the guillotine grip? Physically I feel like I can't create enough space, I dunno 🤷♂️
Yup I will shoot something on that!
