Very Helpful video. I have an off brand dishwasher (Seasons Pro; made in China) which has a similar sensor mechanism as yours. The water heating element in mine stopped working. I needed to locate the water level sensor and could not identify one ( I was expecting to find one of those magnetic floating switches, but could not find one on this unit). When I finally figured that the translucent housing on the side of my unit may possibly be the level sensing mechanism I came across your video and that confirmed my suspicions. Thank you for sharing that video.

Nice sequencing of tightening/loosening all the components. One important tool was left out, however; causing a problem. It appears the reason this bottom bracket repeatedly comes lose is not tightening it to 50 to 52 ft lbs of torque. That's MUCH tighter than most folks realize, and is almost impossible to reach with an ordinary short-handled hand wrench. 50 ft/lbs is not too far from the torque needed to tighten a car wheel--really snug. Of course, Peloton bottom bracket failure after only a couple years of use is ridiculous to begin with, and nobody should be having to do this in the first place. At least 50% of Peloton bike owners cannot perform this repair, and end up with a 250 pound piece of very expensive junk.

I can see why the official instructions would say you need 2 people, but it can be done safely by one person. Saved me the hassle and expense of another person, cheers!

great video! this helped on my DW80J3020US. for the inside plastic cover, i used a needle nose plier to easily open it; for the drain hose i used a fluid transfer pump for my car, it's smaller hose that fits right in perfectly, goes all the way very deep, worked great sucking out craps. EDIT: HOWEVER, even though the error goes alway after cleanup, the issue persists on the first run, I again open the black hose and lots of water came out, clean up again, put it back, again auto and heavy lights flashing! :(, any one has an idea?

I wish you would’ve showed the reciprocating sawing off, of the existing rivet. I’m not sure if you just zaw-saw the whole existing metal arm?, or you just focused on the cutting the center rivet?

For anybody who is hearing a scraping/knife sharpening like noise: remove the chain guard and see if there are metal shavings present, if so this is because the bearing cartridge is coming loose/unthreading and making contact with the “drive side” (right foot side) crank assembly. As Chewbacca mentions, ensure the blue dots on the cartridge are lined up, if they aren’t and the cartridge is loose, it will protrude out and make contact with that crank assembly. Only other tips not mentioned in the vid: use a towel to put your belt back on (so you don’t risk hurting a finger or cutting your belt). Also use blue loctite for the crank bolts (8mm allens) and use red loctite to lock the bearing cartridge in (orange loctite is meant for removable applications and not as strong, I am almost 300lb so I went red 😊). Thank you kind sir for sharing this and the tools needed to tighten that bottom bracket. mine was clicking, tightened it up, and its normal again. im sure ill have to open it back up and retighten and add loctite, but im greatful for you supplying the tools needed for the job! thanks sir

Replaced my bottom bracket as well using this reference . Upon inspection, found the bracket tight and properly aligned, but somehow, the inner spindle (Not sure of nomenclature) had completely worked out on the drive side and I could not replace the crank bolt. Ordered new BB on eBay and reassembled. Very helpful video, thank you! Appalling how little information (parts, manuals, etc.) Peloton provides.

Two questions. 1) torque settings for the BB? My blue paint marks to align are gone. 2) do you have to torque drive side and non drive side since it’s a two piece BB?

Thank you for this! Recommendation for anyone trying to get the belt off, you can put a rag or towel underneath the belt and pull up on it while rotating the pedal/crank backwards. I saw this on a ThePeloDoctor video. Don't be an idiot like me and get your fingers pinched.

Great content. I was lucky, All I had to do was tighten the spring adjuster. On mine, some nice person put an eye bolt to connect the spring to the ladder strut.

I got the tip of the crank puller stuck in my bike. any ideas how to get it out?

Really glad I kept sorting through the many videos from others until I found yours. It is spot on for the same repair on my 37 year old Memphis Folding Stair brand. Great idea to use saw instead of drilling out the rivet. Key was to undo the bottom bolt to release tension on the spring to access the pivot plate. Many thanks!

So what was the original issue?

So its been a year.and i have had no more clicks. Safe to say this repair was a good one.

You don’t need to tighten the bottom bracket puller with an adjustable wrench, hand right is sufficient. For bicycles most bike mechanics use waterproof grease (park and Phil’s are both meant for bikes but any thick waterproof boat grease will work). Grease is a bit counter intuitive, but it prevents the threads from binding up allowing you to get it a bit tighter. It may be different on a peloton bike though.

After using your video to fix my bike, I thought I might add some additional pointers to anyone who comes across your vid. 1- Anyone w/ a Peloton who sweats a lot - do yourself a major favor and protect the upper chain guard screws (00:49 into video) from sweat, otherwise they will rust and fuse to their housings, requiring you to crack/break open the plastic "chain" guard housing, which necessitates replacing the plastic covering (available through Peloton). This was super frustrating for me, and no amount of de-rusting agent helped loosen the screw; eventually the rusted and fused screw snapped in half. 2- After you remove the crankshaft hex bolts (3:14 into video) make sure to seat your Crank Puller (Park Tool Item # CCP-44) correctly and squarely before you start cranking on it otherwise you'll likely get it jammed in the pedal crank arm causing irreversible damage, and you'll have to replace a whole lot more hardware. 3- Same as Chew Bacca, (5:33 into the video) the 8-notch Park Tool Bottom Bracket and Lockring tool (Item #BBT-18) is just a little too big to fit perfectly into the Bottom Bracket slots; use a metal filer or similar to shave off a tiny bit of material to make it fit better. 4 - The original BB you're taking out is installed with a threadlocker - it SHOULD be difficult to loosen at first, and you might even need an impact driver/drill to make it work. Just make sure the Bottom Bracket tool's teeth are set firmly in the BB, and you should be able to eventually loosen it. 5 - When putting in your new Bottom Bracket, make sure you haven't cross-threaded it. You can check this by inserting your new BB from one side, lightly tightening it, and then looking at it from the other side of the bike. From this second perspective, if the end of the bottom bracket (that you can see coming through the frame of the bike) looks off kilter/off center in the hole of the frame, it's not seated correctly. 6 - Park Tool's Threadlocker (Item # TLR-1) is helpful when putting BB back in place - because the Peloton's frame is steel and NOT carbon fiber, you do not need an adhesive primer like the Park Tool threadlocker packaging implies. Amazing. Worked perfectly. I did have trouble unscrewing the cover in the inside of the dishwasher at 0:22. I poured some vinegar over the cover and let it sit for 10 minutes. That got the cover unstuck.

My red wheel is not flush so belt rubs on my guard - taken it apart multiple times and belt doesn’t rub unless two of the short screws are loose. 😤

does the bike+ require the same tools?

My bike is 14 months old and I started having the same issue. Contacted Peloton, they said it is out of warranty and bottom bracket needs to be replaced, the cost is $210. Now I am thinking to do it myself. This is so frustrating 😢
