Hi Everyone! Unfortunately, I was laid up for a good chunk of the last year and found a lot of joy watching flight trip reports. I figured with the travel I'm now doing for work and pleasure, it would be fun to make a few videos of my own.
As the name suggests, my budget is tight, so this channel will focus on economy cabin reviews. I've noticed that most of the flight report videos focus on business or first class, so hopefully this can bring a new angle to the virtual skies. I hope you enjoy and please let me know how I can improve my videos!

Trip Report | Delta: Los Angeles to Auckland | Airbus A350 | Economy
My first time on an Airbus A350! Delta's A350s look beautiful, but the ones on the Los Angeles to Auckland route are a bit odd... Delta is currently using the A350s they purchased from LATAM airlines in 2022 to help replace their Boeing 777 fleet.
I snuck a peek of Delta One and it definitely does not live up to the suites on their other A350s. There is also no premium select. Just comfort plus and regular economy. The plane was also falling apart- the tray table of my neighbor was broken, the lavatory door did not lock, and some of the arm rest TVs would not stay up. Luckily, these planes are in the process of being retrofitted to match their superior A350s.
Overall... this was a fine flight thanks to my seat, 36J, that included a ton of legroom. The food was a bit disappointing and I really feel like my Delta loyalty is starting to wane. It's just not the same top end product anymore.

My first time flying on a 777 and I'm glad it was with Swiss Air Lines! Amazing service, good food, and an awesome interior design. Best flight of my life! Lufthansa provided great service and a comfortable flight. For economy class, they really are a 5 star airline. Please let me know what you think of my trip report.

A quick tour of the Centurion Lounge in Seattle. With great drinks and pretty good food, I love to start my flights here. The lounge can get crowded, but the staff is really amazing. They keep the place clean and the drinks flowing!

Trip home on Christmas Day from Salt Lake City to Seattle. I was lucky enough to score a seat in Delta's Comfort Plus cabin. This was my first time flying on an Alaska Airlines Airbus A320. It was fun to experience the mashup between Alaska service and the Virgin America interior. I did this flight as a milage run to get MVP status, but in a major amateur mistake did not realize award miles do not count towards status. So the trip was for naught! But I did have a lot of fun! It's free on international. Delta is great for alcoholics.

@@klam82 WiFi is free if you have T-Mobile wireless post paid service. Otherwise, you get free text/messaging. You can always pay for it.
The LATAM A350 looks nice. Sadly, Delta still hasn't improved food service. They've been talking about bringing back full tray meal service in economy instead of the cost reduction pebble service.
Totally agree about the food! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Thanks for sharing. I might have to take the same flight but from Zurich. What was the total duration of the flight? I've just made a flight simulation and it says 12h. Crazy!!

Since this is your first attempt at trip report video may I suggest you kill the music track. It's not necessary and detracts from the true flight experience.

Thanks for posting. I've flown with Alaska Airlines my whole life, and I flew from Dutch Harbor to Nashville (connecting in Anchorage and Seattle) on Alaska Airlines. I'm proud to support that route. I recorded the landing on my channel.

Very nicely done Trip Report. I appreciated the straight to the points and I liked the quality and steady camera. I would had liked maybe a little more like, maybe seeing the toilet or seen the free amenities they supplied you. How are they btw, thinking mainly on the headphones/earphones supplied? Also never mind having a bit more info from the airport of dep and arr, since I like to know the transfer areas and get an idea of the size/travel within the airport itself, but I know they are more airport based and not so much based on the airline. Anyway I liked and would watch more :) Am considering to fly the Zürich - LAX and seems like a good choice with prices around the 400$ for a return trip incl. luggage.

Definitely interesting to see Alaskan meets Virgin in one plane. I just curious about how Alaskan will handle with Virgin America planes with IFE, since they don't have IFE on their planes
I know, right?! I think they are going to basically gut the planes and replace the interior with the classic Alaska look. So no more IFE screen in the seats :(
@@econrecon9238 why does alaska don't use IFE sysytem?
@@mikailunal1901 IFE adds tons of maintenance costs (it's a lot of under-seat wiring which is labor intensive, and components are expensive). Since most passengers bring devices with them, seat-back IFE is pretty under-utilized nowadays anyway. Probably most importantly, Alaska was never known for IFE - their reputation is largely based on in-flight service, on-time performance, and other metrics.
