BEST Infiniti G37x Exhaust: Muffler Delete Sound GOOD or BAD?
I did a muffler delete on this car. Check out the video on my channel.
NO DRONE! I can't speak for the G37 Coupe, but the G37 SEDAN doesn't have any drone. At highway speeds it is very comfortable and luxurious. Has the distinctive VQ engine sound the stock exhaust gives, but on a deeper tone and louder. This is exactly what I wanted. Ignore the messed up rear bumper.

You really don’t get the defined trumpet sound with just the muffler delete. Once you touch the resonators then you’ll be LOUD

@@snycerdoodle I don’t got the muffler delete no more. I didn’t like it that much it. The drone itself is there but not crazy, now I have a 3in single exit Tomei exhaust and that has a a lot of drone. I’m finna get a resonated Y pipe to tone the drone down with a deeper note.
So you just cut the muffler between pipe and muffler tips and welded with a pipe?.. i want to see your exhaust photo to see how it’s connected
No the muffler on g37s doesn't need to be cut it is just a clamp and 2 hangers so he just undid the clamp and took it off
@@asagreen6607 but your muffler tips are on from the video!.. how could you keep muffler tips if you just took the muffler off ?.. can you please upload a short video how you did that? Please!
@@infinitimusic1903 I think you saw at the end when he was showing the stock vs no mufflers because he didn't put his tips back on
@@asagreen6607 i mean if he just took the stock muffler out, there should be some pipe to connect between muffler tips and the Y pipe..
@@infinitimusic1903 He got some exhaust piping and welded it on where the mufflers were then cut off the stock tips and welded those on aswell.

I don’t like the sedan at all it seems like a reach to me but I am bias as a g35 coupe owner the sedan needs the delete or new exhaust to even sound as sporty as the coupe or fx
@ereek360 did you ever figure out the hissing/shrieking noise at WOT (high rpm)? having the same problem and its been driving me crazy trying to diagnose

Did u take it to the shop for them to cut off the stock tip off the muffler and attach it to a pipe ? Cuz I don’t want to buy new tips but I wanna get a muffler delete. And gr8 vid
There's a how to video on my channel. I took off the mufflers and had a shop bend me some pipes and cut off the tips from the old mufflers and weld them back on to the new pipes.
@Ereek360 how much did that cost you? What width of pipe was it? I love the sound and I just got a g37x yesterday

replacement cats to replace stock sound - high flow cats for a sound increase - test pipes to play the loudest trumpet you've ever heard everywhere

I have a VQ37 engine too, stock was iron at 1.75 inches. I replaced it with 2 inches stainless steel. Works Marvel and sounds just like in video.

@@erikbrutsky6640 Does it drone cruising at 60mph? My current exhaust drones a lot going up hills at 60. My car runs at like 2,000 rpms at 60.
Noah Bartels mine didn’t drone since it had 7th gear. It was pleasant at highway speeds.

I'm pretty sure all the vqs make that sound mine does it too Update I just put high flow cats on my car and that noise went away
The reason I ask is bc mine sounds just like that @ top end of the rpms then goes away on the shift..Was just curious about that, it doesn't bother me NEAR as bad as the ol' model A sound upon cold start that lasts about 40 sec & goes away..Anybody know if that can be corrected to sound normal?
