Absolutely the struggle is real…LOL…my decision making is always up and down. I was hoping to make it to L&L before Christmas, never made it that way.

I do like going to the barn sale. They are closed until spring. Hope you are staying warm, it is chilly here tonight.

We stopped at Street of Shops first and ate breakfast. I packed as much in as I could for a day trip.

@@JacquilineLeGuen-lu9fl hope you get to go someday. There isn’t much around but there is a lot of antique malls. We usually come back through via State College and Altoona so we use it as an excuse to stop at a restaurant for dinner on the way home.

It is so hard to let go of the Christmas decor but vintage is always in season! Nice score on 80% off. Our CVS had their Christmas at 75% off. Not much left. Paper and gift bags mostly.

@@catnpawsmercantileFunny… stopped at HomeGoods yesterday as well. Xmas was completely gone. Asked one of the sales associates if there was any left. They said it was all gone in 2 days immediately after Xmas and it was a MAD HOUSE! They appeared to be traumatized by it!😂😂😂.Personally I can’t go out in those crazy crowds! Happy I scored at Joanne’s. Regret not getting more.Can always go back. I don’t resell though anymore- it was mostly for decorations. I told the cashier I spent 4 dollars for a Santa ornament at a thrift store and bought what used to be a 16 dollar ornament at Joanne’s for 2 bucks!!! No wonder they had a lot left. Who buys an ornament for 16 in this economy??? Geez!

@@elizabethwhite196 I’ve never understood Joann’s pricing. I’ve used their app before and it was on sale online but not in store. I’ve questioned why and all the SA told me that is the way it is. Michaels has started to follow their own weird policy. I’ve got to the register and realize their coupon is online only. Aggravating!

Great minds think alike on the Kiss 8-track! Shortly thereafter, the Walkman became the big thing with cassettes. I was lucky that my mom’s car had an 8-track player. Happy New Year Caroline 🥳

@catnpawsmercantile Yes he came just like the Milk Man. You just had to buy the tin once then it would be cheaper to just refill. I was born in 62 -- so it was probably late 60s early 70s. He had pretzels, cookies and some candy too. Definitely the good old days ❤💯

@@lauraann7816 Feel as though I missed on a visiting candy man. I’m intrigued with the idea. When I lived in Virginia Beach we had a neighborhood Swann truck. He stopped at my neighbors house every week.

@catnpawsmercantile I have always been and will always be obsessed with candy. He had stuff like gum drops and maybe licorice. I don't remember exactly. The main thing was the chips. Housewives everywhere had the chips. I just saw Tupperware actual Tupperware on HSN a few days ago. The tall salt and pepper shakers brought me instantly back to my childhood supper table. I think even though they are modernized a bit I may have to order some pieces.

Oh the Pinto! I had a friend that had an orange hatchback and she wrecked it. She replaced it with a baby blue hatchback and wrecked that one too. I was lucky that my moms car had an 8-track player. She had a Mercury Montego. Happy New Year! Glad you like the new name 🥳

Hey Bumble, yes I changed my name! There is a community post floating around. I wanted to change it to something that not only reflects my love of vintage but vintage to now. It works into the theme of my store planning.

How I would love to have an unlimited budget then I could expensive stuff out of glass cases. I’m not far from Pittsburgh and have been out your way a couple of times. My husband’s motorcycle shop (to get it worked on) is in North Versailles. I’ve stopped at Lincoln Hub and L&L. Ok that is not Pittsburgh, but close!
