Nectar Split King Adjustable Frame part 3: unboxing/assembly (finally)
The split king adjustable frame finally arrived on June 12th
Original order May 1st (originally thought May 3rd, but that was just the “processed” email I got)
I have had to email the company several times and am currently waiting for their follow through on a lot of issues I have had with them. I will share a video about that soon.

UPDATE: the adjustable frames have finally left the facility today, June 10th, and are set to arrive in the next week!! We will be recording every step, from their delivery to assembly. UPDATE: the adjustable frames finally left the facility and fedex has them today, June 10th!! They are set to arrive in the next week! We will record the unboxing and set up. I am a noob at this, but, when I was thinking about buying this set from Nectar I couldn’t find very many reviews of the split king adjustable. Thank you for the video, I think mine is all put together like yours but mine wont vibrate or adjust, the split king bases came ripped, but i am still trying to get it together, such vague instructions. really disappointing and I have no idea how a king can be on 2 twin adjustables and adjust to the same on both sides, I wish I would have not gotten this bed.
Sorry this is so late. I’m not much of a UA-cam person. You probably have it all figured out by now since your comment is from 8 months ago lol but if you haven’t, try zip tying the legs of the frames together, then download the LINAK bed control. You can sync both beds to a phone and adjust both at the same time.
Are you able to adjust your side and not your partners? How is it going?
Maybe the extra pillow was for the fancy pillowcases that come with comforter sets! I just ordered our set yesterday. Should all be here by the 24th. Fingers crossed!! Thanks for sharing! On to the third video
I found your videos after looking for info on the “split king” selection. I bought the TwinXL for my grandmother and the only thing I had to do was attach the legs. Literally everything else was already together. I don’t know why they sell this as a “split king” when they don’t have anything to hold them together and nothing to keep the mattresses from moving side to side either.
Wow, that’s lucky! I’ve heard of all kinds of issues with setting the bed up. On the upside, I have researched all the parts and could probably build my own adjustable frame after this lol! Yeah, it makes zero sense to call it a split king and not have a way to attach them together. Zip ties helped at least, but our frames came with USB ports on both sides of the frames so if the mattresses are too close, they get caught on each other. At least they weren’t both on the same side of the frames or else one would be useless, I guess. Silver linings 🤣
@@badreviewsandotherthings7051 I asked their support and they said that their other beds like the queen and king only have USB ports on the left side so you’re not technically missing out if you don’t use the two right side ports. That being said I’m going to see if I can find right angle usb extension cords and run those under the bed to the right side so my wife can use those. I’m going to 3D print brackets to hold the frame together. Might make a video when I get it all done :)
Thanks!. I got a full size which had vague instructions (no color photographs like yours) All of the UA-cam tutorials for this bed frame were queen or king sized it seemed & they go together a little bit differently than the full size. Since you had the two singles in your video it really helped me see what was supposed 2 go on with mine as the singles are almost identical to the full size as far as set up.

Does your bed frame fit properly with your bed? I just got him and my mattress is a couple inches bigger than my bed frame
It seems like it is maybe a few centimeters wider than the frame, but length seems good.

What are the measurements on this? Specifically on the underside from outside rail to outside rail, and from outside fabric base to outside fabric base? Both width and length? I have a captains bed and trying like crazy to see if this base will fit in and on it. Anyone?
Do you use one king comforter or two twin xl?
We have done both because sometimes we like to have our own blankets or sometimes we just keep the beds flat. It sounds weird, but there were times where I didn’t like the feeling of not sharing one bed lol so that is usually when we went with one blanket and kept the beds flat.
Yes also wondering what you used to keep the two bases together? Also have you had any quality issues?
It doesn’t come with anything to keep the beds together:) it’s terrible. -10/10
I used large zip ties to keep them from sliding apart. The mattresses are constantly needing to be readjusted, and the beds sometimes make a ticking sound. Because I got our bed with the discount, it isn’t quite as upsetting as it would be if I paid full price. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR THIS BED. I was told in email from the company that we all get different “versions” with the “same quality” which is why my frame looks different from the frame on the site. Another person that was having the same issues as me actually ended up getting the correct frame and said it is great and has more features. I did get refunded $200 for all of my complaints. I am usually not a complainer lol but the entire transaction was just bad. I won’t buy from this company ever again.

I ordered this too, what a waste of time! The quality was beyond cheep and the instructions were for the wrong bed. It came dented and disfigured in the box, missing all pieces, and a motor! If you're watching this PLEASE don't order it. I got a new one off amazon for $400 and the quality is 11/10, preassembled for you. Nectar will also not refund us even though it arrived completely broken.
I'm so freaking annoyed with them right now. The instructions don't match and you can't get anyone on the phone to assist. Such BS!!!

Ordered directly with Nectar sleep dont do it. I wouldn't buy from Nectar again PERIOD! The split king doesn't attach. It feels like you're sleeping on a twin bed. The adjustable bed didnt work properly. A headache to try to return although they offer "forever" warranty. It's BS! I sent everything back and went to a mattress store and got a real bed with adjustable frame who provided delivery and setup.
Brittnee Savage i ordered one from a brand called BedBoss! The reviews were great! And I’m still loving it.

Did Nectar ever resolve not having anything to connect the two bases together? If they didn’t what was your solution? My wife and I just got the bases yesterday and our mattress comes tomorrow
What happened with yours? Was the issue resolved? I’m deciding between just buying the queen or split king for new house... what do you and your wife think?

Sorry for not responding sooner. It’s been a hell of a year and we had to move. I used large zip ties to keep the frames from sliding apart. They do not have anything from the company to connect them. Zip ties worked

The split king adjustable frame requires two twin xl mattresses. I have 3 videos about it, including unboxing/assembly.
Thank you for the review! We've ordered the exact same bed and are waiting for the frames to ship. We're showing an ship date of "before 03 July." How accurate was the estimated ship date that Nectar had for your frames? Just trying to do some expectation management.... Thanks again!
Not the least bit accurate. Sorry for the late response. I have never had a channel before this and forget to check it. I ordered on May 1st (thought it was the 3rd but that was just the processing email). At the time, it says 3-5 business days. I didn’t get the frame until June 12th. Also, the frame does not fully match the pictures. I uploaded the unboxing/assembly video
Have you received your frames yet? I’m asking because we just received ours but some things do not seem right. We were under the impression that the two frames would connect together but they do not. Another thing that seems odd is that the USB ports are on the same sides of the frames so one USB port ends up being in between the two frames and we are not able to use it. We are having a difficult time getting in touch with customer service.
Yes! I will upload the video soon. I had the same issue. They do not have anything to connect the frames to keep them together, but it is supposed to come with a cable that connects the actuators so you can sync the bed controls. Keep trying to email them. There have been a lot of issues for customers and this company lately, but there are reps rectifying things.

You are welcome. I couldn’t find many reviews of the split king, so I hope it helped a bit. I also added an actual timeline to the description of the video, listing some specific dates and current status (still waiting on our adjustable frames that are stuck at “Information sent to Fedex” 🤷🏻♀️). I will try to make two more videos. One, soon, to review the mattresses, and then the last video will be on the adjustable frames when they do finally get here 🙂
