New to channel. I just stumbled across TidyPro today. I’m very new to EDM production but have been tinkering with a few pieces on a PlayStation game of all things! 😂 It’s called Dreams & is designed for game creation but the audio tool is extremely good & acts as a decent DAW until I can afford to buy a decent set up (laptop, etc). I got into hard house/trance/techno around 2001. Not thought about it much since then but I went to the Tidy Weekender a couple weeks back & it’s reignited my love for this music. I’ll defo be looking at a few of these courses in the future. Just need to get a proper setup 1st

Do you ever just convert a stereo hi hat or stereo kick loop to a mono file? Like you said it doesn't need to be in stereo. And is there a way to cut the stereo file into 2 mono tracks to be used instead? (instead if using the utility plug-in)

I have just tried this with Phoscyon2 but I cannot make my midi track receive midi. I can however receive midi from other midi instruments. I wonder if you have tried Phoscyon2 and have noticed anything different? thanks

Not a dynamic EQ but a ducking effect. This example works because kick/bass is a simple scenario, but it wouldn't work if you needed to dynamically EQ a specific frequency in complex material. For example: a synth section has a nasty ringing frequency that pops up every now and then. You don't want to notch out that frequency for the entire section, only when the nasty frequency suddenly becomes audible and exceeds a certain level. This requires a threshold and that isn't included in this example, so it's not an example of Dynamic EQ like Pro-Q 3, Tokyo Dawn's Nova, but a ducking method.

Finally !!! Thank you, AbletonLove; now I can go back to using my Phoscyon which I dumped a year ago because it finally frustrated me that I was not able to control it effectively in Ableton, but your excellent video has made me reinstall it and make use of it again. I didn't waste my money after all. Thank you !!

In Ableton 11, on the MIDI track I want to record the sequence on to, when I click the Post FX/Pre FX button to change it over to Phoscyon there is no option to select Phoscyon and it isn't picking up the MIDI when I'm playing the sequence through, what am I missing here?
