Keep reading the series! Don't give up. I just finished the fourth book. I do agree that the book is longer than it has to be. It's definitely confusing to keep track of all those little details in the Aiel Waste. It's still a great book though, which speaks volumes to how good this series is!

You should definitely check out the Finnish Harry Potter covers if you want nightmarish alternatives.

The alternate covers for Harry Potter just don't feel right lol.

For me it has to be the original hardcover for pet semetary by Stephen King along with the hardcover edition by penguin classics of Bram Stokers Dracula. The book just has a nice feel to it. ^_^

Night of the Living Dummy 2 is like the Terminator 2 of the Dummy franchise. Much more enjoyable book.

This book sounded like it belonged to Silent Hill or something David Lynch/Adrian Lyne would film. I like the sound of it. Will have to hunt for it.

FrederickGreer pointed out how shocking it was that Stine can show a monster eating kids alive in a kids book, and while the Midnight Chronicler pointed out that it takes place "off-stage" and we the readers don't actually see it on the page, I do have to point out that this wasn't the first time Stine wrote a monster eating kids. Actually, he attempted this earlier in the series when he wrote The Girl Who Cried Monster with the monster librarian Mr. Mortman, but his editor thought it was too much for a kids book so Stine replaced Mr. Mortman eating kids with eating turtles instead. There wasn't a way that he could've had the monster in that book eat kids off the page . . . I can't think of a way he could have achieved that. So I guess Stine wanted to return to that concept in The Horror At Camp Jellyjam, but rather than have King Jellyjam eat the kids on the page, instead make it happen off the page, that way it will reduce the violence for his audience, and still be able to get away with what he originally wanted to do in The Girl Who Cried Monster.

Sanderson is leading the movement of making Hollywood style books. Formulaic, fast paced, and easily digestible. I hope it doesn't take over

Could you review Goosebumps Judy And The Beast? It has a injury scene I was surprised was in a goosebumps book, and kind of feels like a hidden gem no one talks about as a newer book lol

This was an interesting top ten videos. I haven’t read a whole lot of his books. But I recommend Christine and Carrie. I have reread both of those books several times.

This was an interesting list & it was no surprise that misery and IT were going to make it onto the list. I would suggest that you check out Tales From The Gas Station Volumes 1 to 4 because they are really good.

1:00 HAHAHA 😂I agree with you on the Halloween Night book, I had that one as a kid based off the Pumpkin cover, read it thinking it would be an edgier gruesome version of Attack of the Jack O Lanterns (which I would personally nominate as having an overhyped cover), and in a sense it kindaaa was? All I can really remember about the plot was it involved a shaky murder mystery at a teenage party. Not exactly that memorable, and I had even forgotten the title, but Jack o Lanterns are always cool 🎃 The Body Squeezer art is some of the best art Tim Jacobus has ever made for the series, but it's not representative of the actual final result. It gives the impression that it's gonna be a daring epic event with a high stakes, rare violence, and multiple characters ala Goosebumps Horror Land, but it ends up being an over padded regular "No one helps or believes me" story. It had TWO whole books to flesh out the story and still dropped the ball, which is a shame. The GYGB book did a better job with the invasion scenario and yet the cover art for that one was very tame :/ There used to be this blog called Blogger Beware that reviewed the og books, and the dude pointed out that the cover of Brain Juice looked like something else. Haven't been able to unsee it ever since 😂 The most overhyped cover out of all of them for me, is Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls. The story itself is okay, but the cover doesn't even fit at all. What a massive let down that artwork was. Genuinely feels that the art was inspired by only the title and nothing else. Wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
