I’m there pretty frequently and I have yet to tour her, but I take lots of pics while I’m there! The kit isn’t great, but I’m going to do a fair amount of kitbashing with left over parts from 1/200 Bismarck and Titanic to make it pretty cool. Thanks for watching! I should be underway very soon!

@@SaitoTheSmashGame2005 it’s mean for outside of the ship. My titanic build is RC so depending on when Brittanic is released I may try to shoe horn it in that or the new Olympic if I go that route, but it isn’t made or mean to be inside.

Looking utterly magnificent Larry, your doing a truly fantastic job there. Seeing the deck work taking place got me thinking about the efforts, labour and time that the real thing had done from the workers, really does make you appreciate what they managed to achieve and with such primitive safety rules and precautions at the time. This also had me thinking about what I did with the Gneisenau, and I'm looking forward to trying my hand on the HMT Olympic which is coming out now, was going to go with Bismarck but when I saw HMT Olympic on the box art, just had to choose her. Your doing a truly fantastic job, going to look incredible when done, keep at it and well done mate 👏👍

It's looking utterly incredible Larry, deck details are looking artistic and truly excellent, that wooden deck looks like the real thing seen on all the great warships, your doing her proud. Great work on the anchor chains and the overall anchors themselves, I remember doing the same thing when doing the Gneisenau, also I'm looking forward to doing the same thing on the Olympic - just seen the kit being shown on the net, I was going to select Bismarck as my next 200 scale project but I think I can wait a bit longer for the Olympic, I'm like a kid on Christmas eve now 😁.

I used a dot of super glue for the styrene set of the hull plating, then used the Tamiya thin to seal it all up, sanded it down a bit to make it look more smooth. I think I will do the same with the under-hull plating, I just ordered mine from Neil. This is an awesome tutorial man, great job, this looks amazing.

Looking utterly incredible Larry, those Arado 196 planes are looking 1st class. If your interested in more 1/200 figures to look the part as aircrew I think there's available crews online though I think they are accessories for those who are making the 1/200 carriers like USS Enterprise and her sisters, Yorktown and Hornet. I was told such things are available but wither it's true or not I'm not fully sure, I've not had chance to look. Either way those aircraft and that photo etch catapult looks fantastic, your doing a beautiful job. Keep at and well done mate 👏👍

Awesome work Larry, that is utterly amazing artistic work done those Arado floatplanes. I remember doing the Arado floatplane as the last thing when I was doing the Gneisenau, I'm really glad I did it that way because the Arado was the most problematic part I had to work on, either way still turned out great. It's incredible to think that both Arado floatplanes never served their real purpose as both went down with the ship, one of the shell hits from HMS Prince of Wales took out the catapult mechanisms, which I think is very ironic given the footage from taking on HMS Hood was intended for delivery in occupied France along with mail and items. If you go on UA-cam you can see footage of the Arado wreckage from James Cameron's exhibition to the wreck, it's really gripping stuff. Magnificent work there Larry, your doing a truly fantastic job, get a well earned drink and have one on me tonight, keep at it and well done mate 👏👍

Fantastic work Larry, looking utterly incredible and yet there's more work to be done, yet non the less you can see how truly incredible the work is as the project progresses. When you look at what you've made and covered and even look at the actual images of the real thing it really blows the mind the amount of hours and resources and money that was put into the real thing, that being said what I love most about Bismarck is her appearance, firepower, armour and speed, yeah her life was that of a butterfly but if you want to glorify a loss she went down with the flag still flying and in righteous combat. Yeah that's fantastic art work you've done there, it's looking utterly incredible.. magnificent work. Keep it up and well done mate 👏👍

Fantastic work Larry, the 20mm cannons are without a doubt the most challenging of tasks given the scale, when I got to the 20mm on the Gneisenau that was the most challenging obstacle I ever faced. The 20mm is a very impressive weapon when you look at it in real life, I remember seeing one at museum and when you look at thd quad mountings, it gives you a good idea of what perils all allied pilots had to face, it's a sobering moment if you think about it. Looking truly excellent, your doing an epic job indeed, have a fantastic Christmas and all the very best to the family. Happy Christmas and Happy modelling mate 👍

SWEET!! Just sweet work there Larry, ah the old 105mm batteries.. takes me back to the Gneisenau, so that's a great memory to look back at. Either way, fantastic work.. me personally I never thought of trying the brass etch barrels on the batteries, I just went with the default plastic, but either way they still turned out very well in all fairness. Your Bismarck is looking utterly magnificent, there's no words to describe the incredible art work your doing there. I know there's still a lot of work to cover but either way your still doing a magnificent job, I just hope the Tirpitz will be just as great in regards of a kit when it comes out. • @LCModelBuilding

It would be potentially easier. The problem is the tension. So you could try it but remember you have 4 lines you are trying to get a similar taughtness to with very little resistance/pressure of the actual crane. Just a challenging part over all for sure!

Fantastic work Larry, just utterly fantastic, great idea going with the red caps on the big 15 inch turrets, according to the history I've learned over the years that red capping of the turrets during the Baltic operations was indeed 💯 correct, and the anatomy of the ship book is a perfect portrayal of the real thing during that period of time. Looking at the batteries your doing it reminds me of the accounts that the real crews used to talk about, they used to say that when the big guns fired, the entire ship staggered. They used to say that it felt like the ship was bending and being pushed sideways in the ocean due to the recoil, that to me is incredible because it gives you a feeling of how powerful those guns really were. Your doing a truly excellent job with this legend of the sea, it's going to be magnificent when done. Keep at it and well done mate 👏👍

I really love the iconic German capital ships, all of which look utterly stunning and elegant, lethal and powerful. Watching build throughs of Scharnhorst and Bismarck has me in conflict wither to go for either of the said vessels. Still thinking I might go for Bismarck but I'm waiting for the Tirpitz, so might stick to my guns and go for her. @ that ship definitely took a beating and kept stayed afloat. Had they not scuttled it probably would have just been a burning hulk towed back to be scraped. Definitely one of the most impressive ships in history, which is why I built it. I do have Arizona on deck for after Christmas. @LCModelBuilding My thoughts exactly, there is some debate if the Bismarck would have sunk on her own eventually but there's some debate that says otherwise. Personally speaking it's likely that it is possible she would have sunk on her own, but if support was available she might have been towed, but she would have been written off as you say. You plan to do USS Arizona? That's awesome, it's also very poignant too, she's a memorial to her 1,177 lives lost at Pearl Harbor. USS New Jersey would be awesome herself, especially since you can see her today, and also because she's the sister of USS Missouri which by the way is my fav WW2 Battleship. The USS Olympia.. I've read about her.. so she'd be awesome also.. you have a FINE selection of candidates.. each one would be awesome, I'm planning to do a 4x Battleship project of 1/700 ships that we're at Pearl Harbour for next year, all are Trumpeter and are the ships.. West Virginia, Maryland, California and Tenessee.

The Baltic paint scheme is truly excellent in regards of the paint scheme for the Bismarck, that shows the Bismarck in the prime of her life and she also looks a tad bit more stunning than how she looked before her engagement with HMS Hood and her overall loss. The method in which you paint the stripes looks so very satisfying when you remove the tape when dry, it was like that for me when did the Gneisenau when painting her hull. The book you have showing the anatomy of the Bismarck has the option to paint the turrets with red caps, while there's a lot of historical evidence that shows Bismarck with her caps black, do you have a preference or, will you make it up as you go along?
