Wallet comparison: Rose Anvil Clayton & Louis Vuitton Multiple

My 12 year old Louis Vuitton Multiple wallet is falling apart, so I decided to buy a Rose Anvil Clayton wallet. There are 5 colors available, I picked the dark brown. Watch to see how they compare. roseanvil.com/products/clayton-wallet Although I’m in Canada I’ve pasted the U.S link to compare the prices in the same currency: us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/products/multiple-wallet-monogram-000615/M...

Very short video showing the sizing differences between the two models, they are quite different. New Balance even writes in the shoe description on the website to size down. I would definitely recommend that you try these on in store to get the correct sizing. The V6 in black & white was just released in April 2023 (this video is made in May 2023)

    Hey Kelly. Now that you had these shoes for over a year, did the suede and mesh stretch out and get wider around the widest part of your foot (below the toes)? Or too wide at EE? Thanks. 👍

    • @CompuChef
      @CompuChef Місяць тому

      Yes they loosen up as they wear in, I'd suggest making sure that the sole is wide enough to support the full width of your feet, both of these are wide enough but I bought a v3 recently, they're not tight widthwise but the sole is a bit narrow, my feet don't sit flat in them.

      @@CompuChef Thanks. Your video seemed to suggest you normally wore D width with the v5. I guess I wanted to know if going to EE in v6 made them feel too wide after they stretched a little? I tried on a half size down in the v6 D, but they were too tight around the ball of my foot. I guess I was worried going to EE might get too wide if they started to stretch too much. Thanks.

      @matthewla16 4 місяці тому

      Well coming from someone who has a pair of 990s which come in the smooth black leather and have the same exact lug sole, I haven’t had them long maybe a month or so but as long as you clean them often they’ll still look as fresh as you pulled them out the box. Now I will tell you because they are leather they will have a wrinkle kinda look where the toe bends as you walk but it’s not ugly to me personally. It’s just something that happens with leather so it gives off a more natural look so I assume the rustic black ones as they are a nubuck material or basically a suede looking kinda material the crease won’t be as defined because it’s not a smooth leather so it won’t give off that wrinkle look. Either way I’m super pleased with my blundstones and would buy them 100 times again and when next year comes around and I get my boot allowance from my job I will be getting the 990s again for sure. They’re one of the most comfortable shoes let alone boots I’ve ever worn. The lug sole has a built in arch support which feel great on my feet and I’m not sure if the come with the XRD insert inside the shoe like my 990’s do but if they do they feel AWESOME. Again one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had, couldn’t be happier with my purchase of blundstones.

      The Romeos fit the same lengthwise and topwise, but are noticeably wider. If you don't have a wide foot you may find that your feet move around too much in them. Also the soles on the Romeos have much less cushioning, especially the winter one, they are very hard.

    Word of advice. Don't use the blundstone renovating cream on the rustic versions. I did, and what a huge mistake. Not only did it darken the boot drastically, but the boots also turned hard, and shiny, losing all of the rustic look, and smooth soft feel.I had to buy new boots. The renovating cream is fine for regular leather blundstones but will definitely wreck your rustics.

      Did you order your Blundstones? I got my very first pair of blundstones a couple weeks ago for work. I got the 990 as they are steel toe which I need for the job I work and I have to say I am absolutely in love with my blundstones. These are actually my second boot I’ve ever bought as I’ve never really been a boot guy but like I said I needed steel toes for work and my first pair of boots were some cheap ones from Walmart. I came across the blundstones on the boot website my job has us go through and I went for the blundstones because I wanted a Chelsea style boot as I was sick of having to tie my boots everyday and having to retie them when they come loose haha but the 990’s are amazing, the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn let alone any boot I’ve had. They have a huge list of safety features which I like but they also looked super sleek, not too chunky and nice for a pair of work boots. I also like that they’re made with real leather. I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments on them and I’d wear these Blundstones anywhere actually not at work. Working outside, going to the store, wherever. They comfortable, fit great and look great. I'm looking for another blundstone pair that could be worn year round/everyday, but also moved to chicago recently so want to prepare for cold/rainy/snowy winter. I want black color so I am in between the 558 (classic) vs 2241 (all terrain thermal) vs 566 (thermal) vs 2058 (all terrain) vs 2240 (lug). Any ideas? If you want a boot that could be worn year round, I'd go with the ones in my video, so for your smooth black color choice that would be 2058 or 2240. The thermal boots would be way to warm to wear in any season other than winter. The lug sole is better for winter grip. I wear the boots with thinner socks in warm weather and thicker in the winter, and only wool socks will do.

      @@AWolfMan75 have about a thumb's width of space in front of the toes on both shoes. I don't notice a difference in arch placement. My right foot is also longer so I size my shoes based on my right foot. After wearing the v6 wide for a while, they did loosen up a bit more width-wise, so unless you have a wide forefoot like I do, maybe a regular width half size down would work for you.

    I have fairly wide feet. Does the all terrain and lug fit like the 550’s ? Wider or more narrow perhaps ?

      I would say the all terrain fits the same as the 550 and the lug fits slightly wider

      Go half a size on your regular size for a wider fit :)

    The carboard counter destroyed the back of my feet. I have no idea what they were thinking...

    Why can't they make a "rustic black" colorway in darker tone ffs...They look anything but black to me. Same suede-like upper in literal black would be so goood.

    So it looks like Canada West has a few different versions of Chelsea boots. And all with different outsole constructions. And one with more cushion. Id ask them to sponsor you and send you a few different versions. Nobody has really spend the time to do videos on their boots...
