@@konstant8437 LCCNs are just for print books, not ebooks. So this only applies for your print copy!

​@@notebooktorealbook807 Thanks! Also, if you're trying to obtain a lccn and a copyright before publication, what would be a good way to mention the city of publication in the copyright page? (assuming that people actually have to do this) I'm worried that if I say something like "Published by Name from City" it'll confuse them because I'll have reported that it's not yet published, but the copyright page would say that it already is published.

@@yunjaejung9720 when creating your copyright page, the best thing to do is go to a bookstore and start looking at how they are done in other books. Most have a similar format that you'll notice and you can really just follow the exact same format. For your copyright, you will put your name ©️ year of publication usually at the very beginning/top. If your writing is written down it is already copyrighted, you are just getting the certificate. For the location, you will see most books put "Printed in United States" or the country of printing. For the LCCN, you can add a CIP block (Google it) to your copyright page along with your LCCN, and once you publish, you need to send the library of congress copies of your book. If it doesn't get approved, it's no big deal that you included the number in your copyright page and you can remove it in a later edition.

I would only apply for an artwork copyright if the artwork is your original design. You can go to the same copyright.gov website to apply for an artwork copyright if you want to protect your cover art. You can't copyright blank or even lined interior pages, but if you have original artwork graphics in the interior, you can copyright those. I would apply for a separate copyright for each piece of artwork.
