Where is the equivalent video for the Pro??? I just want to see where you guys recommend to place the WiFi gateway inside the case! You provide the Velcro (tm) fasteners but no instructions or images showing where the best place to place it would be? Also, I can’t for the life of me find a user manual or any information for the Z Control Cloud app or website. The instructions included with the WiFi gateway are very clear but confusing because they start out like the APAK saying you need 115V AC but of course you do NOT need that since low voltage is supplied via the RJ45 connector. So many things missing from this. Why does my Home Screen in the app and web portal say my pump has a “stop float error” condition, yet there is nothing anywhere on the entire internet nor in your instructions or tables saying anything with those words? My pump is working fine. The alert history shows no problems and the status makes no mention of a stop float error. So what is that red flag on my Home Screen and why can’t I make it go away??? Literally you have nothing in any documentation for the Pivot Pro Simplex referencing a “stop float”. Everything is by number, eg “float 1”, “float 2”, etc. Which number float is the “stop float” and what’s a “stop float error” and when and how did it occur? I’m so confused. Please get more information on using the WiFi control portal or app and the end to end user experience. Finally, why no way to pump manually from remote using the Z control cloud app or portal?
If you want to seal the drain tile pipe into the side of the basin, what is the recommended method with these fiberglass tanks? Is there a slightly curved bulkhead fitting that seals better without cracking or distorting the tank wall? Insert a t? Uniseal?
Good morning! Our Product Support department can help answer your question and troubleshoot your application. They can be reached by emailing zcotechnical@zoeller.com or calling 1-800-928-7867 and selecting option 6.
The best pump on the Market. I have used Zoeller pumps for 35 yrs or more. Great pumps.
We always love to hear that! Thank you for the support!
My Opinion is that Considering the High Cost of Labor, It Just Pays to Buy the best one. It's not worth having to Replace it. I bought an M95 and Zoeller was Very Helpful on the Phone. I am Just using it for a hole that fills from a Washing Machine and a Central AC. Works Great! ua-cam.com/video/JQPq6MJDNog/v-deo.html
What is your answer to the switch housing filling with water making it not work? This has been a common problem with these pumps that seems like it will never be addressed.
Hi @petebusch9069. To learn more about our switch options, and speak directly with our experts, please email zcotechnical@zoeller.com or call 1-800-928-7867 and dial option 6. I hope this helps!
@@ZoellerCompany My God, a canned answer with a phone number to a person that knows nothing and call that customer service. You corporate people will never get it. Now go do your job and find the person that knows the answer to this and post it so we can all see how your products have developed over the years and how you solved older problems using new technology but you purposely hide these people as though they might say something that you don't want out in the public. FFS people, get a clue.
We're sorry sir, however, we would like to discuss your specific application and the issues that you seem to be having. We can not go into detail on the comments section of this video. We are more than willing to discuss and will stand behind the product.
@@ZoellerCompany Ok, water gets inside your switches, all of them, what have you changed to prevent that and why are you not willing to talk about that publicly? This is the weak link in your pumps and is what keeps me from buying them. We use these in a sump pump and actually depend on them working to avoid flooding our basement. Having a high quality float is of the utmost importance and is the number one failure. As a consumer I want to know if your doing anything about this or not? As of yet I don't see anything new. So far I've received nothing but canned corporate answers from you. Yes or no, are your float switches the same as they've always been and if not what are the changes made? Your entire customer base wants to know this.
@@ZoellerCompany Ok, so you just told whoever is reading this you don't care and have not done a thing to improve your floats. Good luck.
Too bad the float switch fails and will leak water into the housing on these pumps.
Hi @petebusch9069. We have a few different switch options available for our pumps. If you would like to learn more about them, our experts in product support would be more than happy to walk you through the available choices. To connect with them, you can either email zcotechnical@zoeller.com or call 1-800-928-7867 and press option 6 to be connected with them. I hope this helps!
@@ZoellerCompany Why not just address the issue instead of providing a canned response that does nothing but give your company a bad reputation? You have good pumps but your floats are junk, we all know that and end up using other floats. Do you really think avoiding that issue is in you best interest? Do you really think your fooling you customers? If you would just come out and say yes, this is the weak point and this is what we are doing about it then you might gain some respect. We all know you have a phone number, providing that does not help.
Thank you so much
Thank you VERY much for this video, extremely helpful and very well done
Glad it was helpful!
Good advice I have a pedestal sump pump no problem 4 months, but if I change over I'll do as u say thanks for this video
What’s the gallon per inch for an 18” basin? The basin volume per depth table starts at 24”, but most residential applications are using the smaller 18” x 30” size.
An 18” diameter basin has 1.1 gallons per inch. Hope this helps!
What is included with the pump? succion pipe and float? How deep can we place the bottom of the succion pipe?
Good afternoon! Our installation instructions for this product have a lot of the details it sounds like you're looking for. You can check that out here: zoellerpumps.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/10/FM3170.pdf (parts list on page 7) (Installation of suction pipe on page 3) Also, please note the suction pipe is NOT included. I hope this helps!
I am a plumber and own and operate a pump servicing company. This was as well of done video as I have seen in a while and will be sharing it during our on boarding procedures. Thanks again and keep up the excellent work!

Nice - helpful video
Thanks @sklinkner. Glad it was helpful!
@@ZoellerCompany I have a 10-0093 controller with what I now understand to be a Stop float which is working intermittently. This was clear after watching the video but wasn't easy to figure out from the written docs I was initially able to find online. Basically if Lead LED is on and Stop LED is off, that's an unexpected state.
How does the controller calculate pump runtime? I have a new unit that I installed only a few days ago and I’ve only run it for testing yet it says it has 2 days of runtime on it. I did have the controller plugged in without the pump plugged in for a day or 2.

How do you convert a standard float switch M53 to use a float-less LN style switch? What parts to order? What is used for the pump top?
So, since this video was made we have stopped selling the LN switches. We used to offer a specific Part Number pump that CAME with them. We do have SEVERAL other switch options though despite dropping the Floatless. If you contact our Product Support department at 1-800-928-7867 and press option 6, or email them at zcotechnical@zoeller.com, one of our product experts will help you find the best available switch for your application and be able to provide you with the exact part numbers you would need. I know this isn't exactly what you were hoping to see, but I hope it helps!
Why don’t they just come with a pre-drilled vent hole?
Our Model 53 does come with a pre-drilled vent hole on the pump that you can see in the cover photo for this video, but that can become clogged up on the pump fairly easily. If a check valve is used, we recommend drilling a vent hole in the discharge pipe. This hole should be located within the basin between the pump and check valve, usually a few inches above the pump “on” level but below the pit cover. The vent hole will prevent air-locking from occurring. It's a pretty small step to prevent a bigger headache from happening down the road. We hope this helps! Should you have any further technical questions, please contact our tech support team at zcotechnical@zoeller.com or 1.800.928.7867 and press option 6.
Can this be installed in a laundry room and use the washing machine drain as the waste drain for this type of toilet. The washing machine drain also used as vent line it goes to top of roof.
Good morning! We have a product support department that can answer your question. You can either email zcotechnical@zoeller.com or call them by dialing 1-800-928-7867 and pressing option 6. I hope this helps!
I was not aware that there is a vent line forming part of the system.
Anything that drains whether by gravity or pressure needs a vent to work properly or in some cases to work at all. 👍

Great intro video! I need help with my M137-D. Two years old and I had to replace the capacitor (no big deal), but after only two weeks the pump is throwing the breaker. I cannot find any obvious signs for failure, and am looking for specs on ohms, etc. to troubleshoot the capacitor etc. Also, the schematic is helpful, but actual pictures of the wiring would be VERY helpful. Anyone know of a good website with photos and troubleshooting values? Oh, the impeller spins easily, there were no signs of water in the pump, etc. Thanks!
Good morning! We have an entire department that offers Technical Support. You can reach them at 1.800.928.7867 (and press option 6) or email them at zcotechnical@zoeller.com. They should be able to help you troubleshoot your application and/or point you to some great resources. I hope this helps!
What is your recommendation for somewhere like Los Angeles with unpredictable, inconsistent rain? We got soaked this year, 40”+. Large amounts of rainfall all at once with these storms. Now in the summer and fall we’ll get no rain for 6 months. Seems unlikely that the pump can stay submerged year round.
Hi! Our Product Support experts can help you out with this! You can either call them at 1.800.928.7867 and press option 6, or you can email them at zcotechnical@zoeller.com. I hope this helps!
My 2hp sewage pump setup worked flawlessly for 3 years but now the weep hole keeps getting clogged. Do you think my cutter is dull and allowing too many solids out of the discharge??
Good morning! Our technical support staff can help you troubleshoot your application. You can reach them by emailing zcotechnical@zoeller.com or by calling 1.800.928.7867 and pressing option 6.
Good talk, would have liked more visuals.
I see some distributer see the model M98-0001 and some sell the M98-0006, does anyone know what differences are?
"Fantastic source of information." Is it? you made a presentation for 40 minutes of video and did not talk about what it is- Weep Hole on the side of yours product. in my case, the hole rusted because the pump did not work for a year. the hole has been stuffed. But even this is not the problem, the problem is that the motor does not spin at a speed to raise the water to the required height. i checked the pump in october and it was working, now end of april the pump is no longer working

The top of the line LN series pump switch is already listed as obsolete, one year after your webinar. Zoeller, please explain..
Unfortunately, the switches utilized in the LN "Floatless Series" pumps became unavailable causing us to obsolete the series. We apologize for any issues this may cause but would be more than willing to assist in selecting a switch style for your application, if needed. To assist you with this our Product Support experts can be reached at zcotechnical@zoeller.com or by calling 1.800.928.7867 and pressing option 6. I hope this helps!
Very good explanation. Thanks!

Does anyone know the procedure for refilling the pump housing. Is mineral oil used or machine oil? How much oil is used? Enough to cover the miter completely?
Hi - if you contact our Product Support department at zcotechnical@zoeller.com or by calling 1.800.928.7967 and pressing option 6, they should be able to answer this for you.
I’m still getting a 3-beep alarm after recharging my sump pump’s back-up battery and confirm it’s in Good status at an Auto Zone. There was never an Input 1 LED/alarm. Is it possible this alarm is going off because of low AA back-up batteries in the alarm itself?
Hi - if you contact our Product Support department at zcotechnical@zoeller.com or by calling 1.800.928.7967 and pressing option 6, they should be able to walk you through the issue you're experiencing and provide a solution. Hope this helps!
Had my grinder replaced in June 2022. Have had problems with pump alarms going off after 3 months. Have had the plumber out her numerous times over the last 6 months. They keep replacing parts and now the alarm go off every time we run water, run dishwasher, washer, take showers etc. They want to replace more parts, but I feel I can't trust it. They need to replace the entire panel, but as of this date they will not. Buy something else.
Good morning. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with one of our pumps. We do have a talented team of product support specialists that might be able to help you troubleshoot your application if you would like to contact them they can be reached at zcotechnical@zoeller.com or 1-800-928-7867, extension 6.
If this is a problem why not dril it from factory?
We do include a predrilled 3/16" vent hole on a lot of our bottom intake pumps, but we still recommend a 3/16" hole be drilled in the discharge PIPE between the discharge of the pump and the bottom of the check valve, just in case the predrilled hole we made in the pump body gets clogged. I hope this helps!
Fantastic information!
Glad it was helpful!
Parts list for model m267-f
Good morning! Zoeller parts lists are typically accessible through shop.zoeller.com. However, the 267-f list seems to be missing, so I've notified the admin for that site to put the parts list back online. We apologize for that inconvenience. Should you need a parts list immediately, you can reach out to zcotechnical@zoeller.com and request one be sent to you. Again, we apologize for the oversight on our parts site and will be correcting that as soon as possible. I hope this helps!
My plumber drilled the 3/16" hole on the outlet pipe below the water level real close to the outlet of a 1/2 hp model 267 waste ejector. after seeing that and reading that the hole should be drilled above the water level where the pump turns on, he drilled a second hole. My concern is if having two 3/16" holes will cause the pump longer than it should since water is escaping while the pump is running. This bring me to my next question, what is the normal run time per cycle to empty a standard 18" x 30" simplex pit?. The lift is about 12ft straight with one 30 degree bend and has a check valve installed about 2 ft above the top of the pit.
Good morning! Questions like these are more fit for our product support staff. You can reach them by emailing your comment here to zcotechnical@zoeller.com or calling 1-800-928-7867 and pressing 6 from the menu options to reach one of our experts. I hope this helps!

Love the description of relays. They are very simple but wiring can be very complicated. Good warning :)
Is there any videos on old relay control pump panels. The circuitry can be complex.
We don't currently have any videos out like this. If you have a question about a Zoeller product and need support, please email us as zcotechnical@zoeller.com or call 1-800-928-7867 and select option 6 for our Product Support Specialists.
I have 2] M-53 pumps with water filled switch boxes. Incredibly they both still ran but the heat they gave off and the small shock from touching the housing told all. You guys make a fine usa product and I have other pumps with auxiliary float switches that are decades old. But I am done with the 53 or 57's and their incorporated floats. Going to Liberty. At least it is also USA made. Rethink your built in floats! Too many points of potential water ingress.
I had the same issue, switch seal failures & not enough travel equalling a short-cycling pump. I just bypassed the built-in switch & get a quality float switch, or one of the many new solid-state controllers available on the market, Zoeller even offers one.
Stop making those value line shit pumps in China and Taiwan. Love the 57 and 53's and have tons, but indeed your switch design is pretty lame.
This is an incredible equipment to use in some spaces where you can't cut the slab!!! It's amazing!!!
Thanks for the video, is awesome this product!!! I would like to know a little bit ore about this, i see that you have 2 pipes (maybe of 2" of diameter) in both sides of the tan, Those pipes are to receive the sanitary instllation of other equipments, like a basin? Greetings
The two inlets on either side of the unit allow you to connect your tank to other equipment like a shower or a sink. If you have any further questions about this product, please email us as zcotechnical@zoeller.com or call 1-800-928-7867 and select option 6 for our Product Support Specialists.
