Camper Van - Turn the sound up
This is my campervan conversion of a 2006 model Ford Galaxy. The whole thing minus the car cost £270 and is a super cheap way to enjoy the use of a campervan without spending thousands.
If you have any questions then stick them in the comments and ill get back to you ASAP.
Cheers

Nice one mate, that fold in the middle is new to me (And i've seen a few on UA-cam, granted i've only being looking for a maybe a week) cheers for an insight into a potential build.
Best solution I have seen, and I have seen a LOT of videos. Thank you so much for sharing. Best regards from a brand new subscriber. P.S. If you ever come to my homeland Norway, you will find that a Galaxy will be a perfect size for our narrow roads, whereas an ordinary motorhome will struggle 😁
Lol, he's British mate...Have you seen our roads?🤣
@@SeeDaRipper...Norway has the worst roads in the western world. Come and see for yourself, then you will believe me. Norway is one of the richest countries in the world, but somehow we cannot afford decent infrastructure..🤔🙄
@@johanw.johnsen2405 Ditto in the UK🤦♂😆
Nice, look for my adaptations for a mini camper ua-cam.com/video/zXZihfWE_QQ/v-deo.html
Hi, good vídeo. Whats the bed size please?
one of the best setups Ive seen. Simple but functional - you can sit and work from there. quick question -do you actually have to bend your head down to sit on the bed or will you fit fine?
Top Nice 👍💪
Absolutely brilliant, hats off to you. I’m away to see what’s in Autotrader.👍
Brilliant Paul. Thanks for showing it.
Thanks for sharing this video. Very humble and helpful.
Magic simple setup matey ! Well might be following your lead ! Cheers fella !
New subscriber as you have inspired me to try this, thank you
I own a 05 Ford Escape Hybrid here in the USA. Would love to do this but it's scary for a 62 year old lady. Still I'd love to try.
Hi Paul, this is great!! We are looking to convert the same car, just wondering how you connect the boxes to the floor?
BRILLIANT JOB.
Good video. Cheers..
Great setup :D
Do you have any dimensions of the wood and list of what was used ? Would be great if you have 👍👍
Great conversation. Are the 2 benches secured to the floor using the seat fixings?
Excellent upload fantastic job I subscribed.👍🏻
Great video, thank you. I am now looking at buying a more modern Galaxy (2014 onwards) to do exactly this. We currently have a 2 berth motorhome but we want to down size and have the Galaxy as our day to day vehicle. Thank you for the ideas and inspiration to get on and do it. Just a couple of questions..... Do the front seats turn around into the cabin area, and secondly have you researched a driveaway awning as a possibility? Thank you again..
The seats swivel on the old models. I have just got one to do exactly this on an 03 plate. Watched this vid and thought that's it I'm getting a galaxy. Tons of room. Starting my conversion this weekend. Got a ton of plans been planning it for about 3 months.
There's a different seating lay-out in the modern Galaxys. The seats remain and just fold down so not the same headroom.
there's some awesome ideas there. like the the ceiling deco and the rug (easy clean!). and thanks for stating the year of the van. very important for reference. also what is the sleeping length? #vanlife
nice
Nice conversion, one of the best beds I've seen.
Stuff like at
Love how simple (and therefore cheap 👍) you kept it! How long (in cm) Is the Bed?
Hi Paul This is really clever. Are the supporting bed storage boxes removable? The wood base structure seems to be made of thicker wood to make a stronger frame. Is this the case? Would this arrangement allow you to gain camper van status from the DVLA as the insurance is then cheaper? Any name for the high density foam? Love the painted wood - Any particular type recommended? Sorry for all the questions. Very impressed.
Love it. For some reason MPVs are much cheaper than vans, and less battered/rusty!
How long can the bed be made in one of these ?
This is excellent. Thanx a lot!
Nice system Paul and easily reversed back into a mpv as seats are removed easily enough. Never new the galaxy had another 12v in the rear, i have a metal fold up camp bed that will fit in my galaxy, but your idea is something i will probably use, thanks for sharing.
I need to know how to fold down sofa that dont have power and dose qnyone no how
how long is the bed? I'm 1,80cm can I fit without moving front seats?
Brilliant job I'm looking to do this conversion soon. What are the dimensions of the units and ply wood used ?
How many sheets of plywood did you use?
Hi I’m looking to do this what do you use for heating the car and for condensation, and what about the loo sorry to ask so many questions thanks good job by the way
Awesome video buddy!
one of the better ones ive seen, you kept it simple but what you ve done youve done good! Happy camping
any more vids coming up
Nice one Paul. Great job. It's given me an idea for travelling Vietnam now.
Wow. Amazing Paul. You have always been very bloody resourceful. Good job.
