Hello friends, I have been trying to get Peachy better from her hives- a reaction to no-see-ums biting her. I clean the wounds, then put spray bandage on them then surround the area with swat. I have been doing this everyday and hopefully she will be better soon. Thanks for watching!

Hello friends! Peach has some bad hives that started a few days ago. I believe she is having an allergic reaction to no-see-ums. I have been cleaning her wounds that she has made by biting her itchy spots and putting a spray bandage over it to stop the bugs from landing on it but also so it can breathe and heal. Hi, I don't know much about horses, so, I've been watching lots of vids to learn. I've recently found this channel and I enjoying the video's. I would suggest the you not cut towards but away from yourself. It's just an old timer rule of thumb, pardon the pun there. Best of luck to you and thanks for the videos.

Hey I agree! That is why I don't blanket my horse! But if I notice a lot of flies on her eyes and in her ears and I am responsible for taking care of her I will try to provide her with things that may bring her relief or comfort. That being said, I have only put it on her once and she took it off 😄

Looks like Peach likes her mask! I have a Paint mare who has a mostly white face with a pink muzzle. I have her in a Rugged Ride full-length mask. I love that it provides UV protection as well as keeps bugs out of her eyes and ears. I've never had the stretch fabric but the canvas one hold up well.
@@michellesink-davis I do have a bigger one for her that has a flap to cover her nose too but I find that she doesn't like it as much, maybe it's too hot ot itchy? Aw I love paints and I LOVE mares 😄🥰🐴
Made me laugh when you were grooming Peach and then Knight wanted in on it 😁. I've totally done that with the rasp before, it sucks! Amazing how fast it'll take off skin!

@Abigail_Leese Well, Burlington is on the Mississippi River. It's scheduled arrival is 10:30 am. And whilst it might be late (sometimes catastrophically), it is NEVER early! That being said, my guess is you were so transfixed on the beauty of our town that you probably forgot to film it!
@@michaelberger8137 I did film going over the Mississippi on the Burlington Rail Bridge but I think it was on the way to California! It was awesome!

@jackiankney thank you for that! My wife and I are from Washington State of many years. Last November (2023), we embarked on an epic cross-country train journey that took us through Burlington. For us, it was love at first sight. So we bought a house, located on that bluff just beyond that beautiful cable-stayed bridge. Been here since March now. All thanks to Amtrak!!!

It would be a challenge to go this far in coach. When I was your age, I took Amtrak coach from Ann Arbor to Framingham (near Boston). That was a shorter trip, but I would have been a basket case if I took something like California Zephyr in coach. California Zephyr is great in a roomette or in a bedroom. If I have a bed, then I usually sleep very well on the train. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
It was definitely difficult at times and we did think about upgrading to a roomette on the way back but we survived! Thanks for sharing!
I've taken the Amtrak Wolverine many times from Dearborn (and earlier from Ann Arbor) to Chicago, and then to longer trips (usually the California Zephyr to the San Francisco area). I'm checking out your videos. I enjoy Amtrak long trips a lot.
It was an awesome experience. It was my first time on any train and I enjoyed it- trip of a lifetime!
