Do you still think the 1:00 is the best time? I’m going in May and I can’t decide if I should book at 1 or 4.
well, the excursion is 3 hours long. Personally, I would still book the 1pm. Something I didn't know is that the first tour, you get on the excursion before you go into the fjord and it takes about an hour to actually get to the glacier. You get to go up close to many things that the ship cant. Then when the excursion is over, you get back on the ship and you get to be on the ship while you are going out of the fjord. If you chose the 4pm, you get to be on the ship while it is going to the glacier, and then once the ship gets to the glacier you can get some pictures on the ship (either time allows you this option) and then you are already at the glacier when you start your three hours and then you take the tour out of the fjord and get back on the ship when you are out of the fjord at around 7pm. So it also depends when you like eating supper. Do you want to just be eating at 7pm or later or do you want to eat earlier?
😊 thank you
Gorgeous places in all! I have included in my bucket list the places you have mentioned. Cheers to your wonderful video!
BTW, I found this to be a really good narrative and informative video. It was great fun to travel along with you through some of Juneau's highlights and off the beaten pathways like checking out our local Costco. If you ever do travel back to Juneau, definitely ride the Tram up to Mt. Roberts. While the seasonal restaurant at the top doesn't necessairily have the best view or always the best food, a trail walk to Father Brown's Cross will bring you some of the best views of downtown Juneau you'll ever see. (It's beautiful and even the cruise ships look tiny from up there!) I also highly recommend the Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure Tour. As for food, a busy but typically tasty place to eat is The Hanger on the Wharf (it's located inside of the big blue Merchan'ts Wharf building that's found about halfway between the cruise ship docks and the Whale Project.) However, don't feel bad for missing out on anything. It's next to impossible to see everything in a day! You never want to rush the experiences you choose just to get to the next. If you do that, you haven't taken proper time to stop and smell the roses, appreciating where you are in the moment. I'd say, your trip was a trip well done. I look forward to seeing your other videos!
You hit the sweet spot of Juneau's Summer this year. Some years it seems to rain all Summer long with just one full, seven-day stretch of uninterrupted sunshine; however, this year I think we had three weeks of nothing but sun and they all landed in the month of July! (It was awesome, but also hot. Most Juneau homes weren't originally built for hot weather or heat waves meaning they lack things like ceiling fans and air conditioning.) Happy for you that you had a nice full day while visiting! Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thanks for watching!
And what a beautiful and wonderful life it is! I feel very honoured to have known such a strong and powerful woman! May God bless and keep you. My prayers go out to you ❤
Thanks Emma! ❤️
No one tends to love us more than those we love the most. Praying God's peace over your life as you absorb the passing of your mother, your friend. Beautiful pictures of a life well lived. Love lives on forever. May these memories bring you both comfort and joy in the midst of sorrow. Thankful tears that she was yours and you were hers. With love in Christ, Jennie
Thank you
really cool upload~ :)
Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing! We just got back from this cruise, but didn’t get to go to the falls or glacier. I’m so glad to be able to see it here!
Thank you so much for watching! What did you do in Juneau?
@@AliciaSchulz we did a city tour, went over to Douglas Island and out to the bridge. We had a beautiful view of the glacier from the bridge. Did some shopping, of course!
Glad you had an enjoyable day in Juneau! 🙂
44 books 😮 That’s amazing! Also, I saw your Summer Book Bingo boards, but I didn’t realize you had a booktube channel! I just subscribed ❤

Somehow I missed your video sister! ❤❤ I loved In This Moment 🎉
❤️❤️
I've heard good things about In This Moment. I'm not surprised you enjoyed it. Retractions sounds interesting.
Retractions was so interesting. I learned so much! Have you read When the Day Comes, which is the first book before In This Moment?
@@AliciaSchulz No, but it sounds like I need to start at the beginning!
I read Joni, too, as a teenager. It has really stuck with me, great story. The Birds Persist to Sing sounds like a good collection. If You Tell sounds riveting but disturbing, too.
Yes they are all such good books!
Hello! I found you through Katie at Paperbacks and Ponytails. This is beautiful! I am also a Christian BookTuber. I look forward to more content from you.

Thank you so much! So glad you are here!
Interesting reads. Thanks for sharing this material. It always comes in handy :) There are a lot of books out there that most people haven't heard about that should get a lot more exposure. The last one I read was When Dying Is Not a Problem and I really liked it, but very few people know about it.
Yes, there are so many good books out there that people haven't heard of. I find this a quick little fun way just to share all of the ones I've read and then I can do a longer video talking about books I want to highlight!
Yay for reading your Bible everyday! I also read Gabrielle’s book and I absolutely loved it. 🙂
I actually made a commitment back at the beginning of 2021 that before I would read any other book, I would read my Bible. And there have only been two times that I caught myself reading another book so I stopped reading the book and then after I finished reading my Bible that day then I continued reading the other book. Yes, Gabrielle's book was incredible 😍!
Way to go on the readathon! And you're good 🙂, I never finished reading Genesis, and I'm still reading through it with other books in the Bible. 😅
I recently just finished 1 Samuel and will be starting 2 Samuel in the next few days. (I've been going through some of the Psalms.) What other books of the Bible are you reading?
@@AliciaSchulz I'm reading through Proverbs and Genesis. And also doing scripture writing in one of my Bible Journaling groups.
Proverbs is one of my favourite books!
One of my favorite children's songs growing up. :)
It was one of my favourites as well! 🙂
I've heard good things about The Inheritance Games. And I definitely want to read my first Nicole Deese book this year. My favorite book of last year was In Search of a Prince by Toni Shiloh.
The Inheritance Games is a series I recommend to basically everyone because I think it's something almost everyone would enjoy regardless of the genre you typically read. I really want to read Before I Called You Mine by Nicole Deese. I haven't read anything by Toni Shiloh, but she is on my list to read!
I want to implement the Bible B4 Books method too!
That sounds like a great plan!
I use an Excel file for my recording and Goodreads. This year, I took the time (loooots of time lol) to put all the books on my Goodreads and on my bookshelf at home in an Excel spreadsheet, added where the book is set, where the author is from, the number of pages, the main page genre on Goodreads, key words from the synopsis of the books, and when the book was first published. That way it makes it less time-consuming to find a book when I have a certain prompt for a challenge, such as read a book published before xyz or read a book with a main page genre of xyz. I also saved an image of the covers in a folder on my computer to find books easier when a prompt in a challenge asks for a certain object on the cover. This took forever but it helped a lot!!! It really saves a lot of time now and I keep track of the books I own and those I don't but want to read.
That would take a lot of time, but I'm sure it saves you tons of time now! Do you continue to do this for new books you add to your shelves and Goodreads?
@Alicia Schulz yes, I add them as i go, so I don't have a lot of work later. I have about 1,300 books on my list. It took me off and on about 2 weeks.
I love all of the fun stats. I lsten to a lot of audiobooks, but I love the daily page count. I would love to keep track this year of where the books I read took place. I always appreciate when people talk about books they didn't like or that they dnfed and the reasons why, because then I can know if I should skip that book if it was on my tbr. It's been really helpful. I read Ruth recently, and next month is Genesis. So happy you'll be joining in the readathons. 😁
I find it really hard to listen to audiobooks. I even had a 3 month free trial on audible and I didn't listen to any books. 🙈 Looking forward to your readathon!
Really enjoyed this video! I am so glad I found your channel! I just added 'More Than My Scars' to my want-to-read list. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these books. Looking forward to more of your videos! Enjoy the rest of your week! 😊
Thank you so much! Kechi's book was so powerful! Enjoy the rest of the year!
I read Before the Coffee Gets Cold and now I really want to read the second one in the series. Before the Coffee Gets Cold is one of my top 10 favorite reads in 2022.
I'm so glad you love Before the Coffee Gets Cold! I'm sure you will all of the other books in the series!
Great recaps! Thank you!
Thanks Barb!
Beautiful Alicia! You such a beautiful God given talent for music. 🙂
Thank you Katie! I will be forever grateful that God gave me the gift of music!
Where do you find Christmas sheet music arr. by Kim Collingsworth? I didn’t think they posted any of their music. **Apologies-I found it on their website.
They are on the website. You will have to buy the sheet music. Here is the direct link. thecollingsworthfamily.com/piano-arrangements
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing your gift!
Thanks Noreen!
Awesome! You'd did great! I haven't performed in front of an audience in years.
Thanks Katie! It was a lot of fun learning the piece and playing it! I would love to play more, now I just have to find more good arrangements. Maybe one day you will play in front of an audience again. I would love to hear you the clarinet! I also just played the piano this past Sunday for offertory so that video will be posted in a week or so.
@@AliciaSchulz your welcome 🙂. Unfortunately I don't have the lung capacity to play wind instruments anymore, but I would love to play the cello.
If you ever start playing the cello, I would love to hear you play one day!
Where the Road Bends is really good and also Secrets of Emberwild.
I adored Where the Road Bends and I've heard wonderful things about Secrets of Emberwild!
@@AliciaSchulz There have been too many great books releasing this year. I do not look forward to picking my favorite book of the year. Can I just have like 5 be tied for first? 😂
I feel the same way 🤣
Alicia: I LOVE Lynn Austin and just finished two of her novels. I will look for that book you have discussed. Thanks for the heads up! CR
Lynn Austin is one of my favourite authors! I know that the Broadway Campus has some of her books so you could look there. Living Books also sells some of the newer ones.
ᑭяỖmo𝓼𝐦 😳
That's some complex fingerwork, but it creates a good rhythm effect 👏
Thanks Deborah!
I also read All That Really Matters this summer and loved it!!
This series will also be in my top books of the year. Loved them so much!
Hi, Amanda sent me! I've been wanting to read Mrs Kip and Where the Road Bends, heard such great things!
I'm so glad you're here! I have a feeling that both of those books will be in my top books of the year!
Hello! New subscriber, my fellow bootuber Amanda mentioned your channel. The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip is on my favorites list, I really enjoyed that one. I recently finished a new releases called Dangerous Beauty by Melissa Koslin and loved it so much! Where the Road Bends was also really good and on my favorites.
I loved The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs Kip and Where the Road Bends. I will have to check out Dangerous Beauty. I'm so glad you're here!
@@AliciaSchulz me too, I love finding fellow Christian booktubers. 🥰
I'm kind of hidden in the Christian BookTube Community (and the BookTube Community overall) since I don't have a bookish name. And the reason I don't have a bookish name was I originally started sharing hymns that I play on the piano (which I still do share on here) and then I started sharing vlogs I've made from my vacations and then last year (in 2021) I read 146 books so I decided that I wanted to share my top books of the year and then I just continued this year talking about the books I read this year that I recommend. (And since I'm kind of hidden I literally have no idea how Amanda found me, haha 😂.)
@@AliciaSchulz Amanda is good 🤣. You have a whole life vlog thing going. I love that you share your love of music too.
Yes, Amanda is amazing! I've been playing the piano since I was 3 and I'm now 24 so I've been playing for 21 years/this will be my 22nd year playing! I am a classically trained pianist (and have a Bachelor of Music), but now I mainly just play Christian music. I sometimes miss the classical style so I love it when I can find hymns in a classical style. I am so thankful that God gave me the gift of music ❤️
Hi there! Amanda sent me. Welcome!!❤
I'm so glad you're here!
