Advancing Your Musical Career with Gail Williams
Joe Alessi and the Chick Corea Trombone Concerto come to Fort Collins Symphony February 8, 2025! What a great piece! Looking forward to it!
Is there a good video that distinguishes each mouthpiece available?
Here's the full version: ua-cam.com/video/DyiBrVqLr48/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
By just being there :} and I play the tubaaa! I love how his looks in the vid🤩🤩😍🤩
Have you tried the Alessi Signature Symphony Mouthpiece yet?
How do you practice flutter-tonguing?
How has a teacher inspired you to keep making music?
Scared the shit out of me a couple times. That’s how I found I didn’t just love playing it, but watching myself improve as a result of practice
Teachers, how do you teach your students about musical expression?
Can I get one
Grandissimo ❤
So excited for him to come go Rocky Mountain High School in february! Im a tuba player but still really want to meet him in person
how come this guy is so good yet also so simple with his explanations?
I play the Laskey 30G on my MRP rotary CC tuba. It's a fantastic combination that provides crystal clear articulations and a colorful, large sound.
ショート版のアップロードに感謝します❤
Jay Friedman has the humility to use his Schilke 51B for this.
This is honestly one of my favorite solos of all time
Timing of the tongue is to me the most difficult part of slide trombone playing. In my experience it help to release air from tongue a slight instance before the slide reaches the targeted slide position. And rehearsing this during warmup carries over to playing thereafter.
When you're playing, u're buzzing or just blowing air?
Buzzing and blowing air.
@@AmosOngTuba i don't feel like that, it seems lips are not vibrating.
@@evertongomes4248 Your lips vibrating is what makes the sound itself. You get that by blowing air.
Neither and Both at the same time. You’re not really buzzing the same as when you try to buzz with a mouthpiece vs no mouthpiece vs with your instrument. You are still kind of buzzing but there’s a lot more air going along with it.
@@8miceinabox now I can get it! Thank you!
Zer good 🔥🔥🔥
I have utmost respect for Mr. Alessi on this subject. One should always consider the musical context when taking on a trombone gig / project.
Ничего не хочу сказать, но почему такой сильный след от мундчтука
まえだ たくさん 素晴らしいマウスピースをありがとうございます!おかげさまでとても楽しい時間を過ごせています! これからも頑張ってください❤ おかげで楽器の

So his favorite thing to do in a plane is to be a insufferable condescending arshole who doesn't understand basic grammar
I dont understand. Am I supposed to ask what instrument you work?
Seems like a rude response to an innocent question
Thats an extremely narrowminded and candescending point of view
condescending*
You don't own the language. Get a life.
being a professional musician is work.
Go shingle a roof and come back and say that
@@NardDawgMcgriddleGodgo do 8 shows at week in an opera house and say that.
@@TubaTones get a real job
@@NardDawgMcgriddleGod define “real” job. Can’t wait to hear this one!
@@TubaTones Playing a tuba is nowhere as physically demanding as a job such as roofing. Which initially was my point when replying to someone saying playing music is work. There’s a reason you call it “playing.” Hope this helps!
I literally try not to talk to anyone on a plane at all costs. I’ve asked a total of 0 people what they do on a plane lol
We do! :)
Anyone can actually apply this great advice about any type of trade. Great advice!
Many trombone players fail to realize this solo is THE pace changer in the whole composition.
absolutely humble guy! man i wish i could sit under him even just for an afternoon to learn. for now...just have recordings and occasional interviews.
