Interesting is Everywhere
Приєднався 27 бер 2014
I love people. Meeting them, talking to them, filming them.
This series celebrates the variety in us. It is kind of a concentrated people watching. It is about what we do, how we live our daily lives and how we identify with what is around us. It's about how we feel, think and believe. We are all different. We are a diverse species. So many faces, so many different things we do, and, of course, so many opinions.
The "Interesting is Everywhere" project is the motion picture equivalent to a photographer's portrait study. This age of short attention spans requires more quality use of the art of précis. These are film shorts. By making them short they are easily consumed and shared.
My goal is to honour the uniqueness of each person in a positive and engaging manner.

Rcade Wizard, or Andrew Kidder, is a full-time sign painter. He uses a variety of techniques including hand-lettering and water-gilding (gold-leafing) on signs and menus across the city. "The good thing about sign painting is that it's out there to be seen," says Kidder who doesn't do much marketing.

This is an impression piece. It is not a documentary. It is about colour, light, movement and texture. It is about the creation of art. Think of it as a visual music piece. Alice Teichert’s paintings are known for their holographic depth and unique luminosity, for their visual poetry and multifaceted proximity to music. With lines, shapes and colour, she unfolds new realms that at first glance ...

"Resonance" Alice Teichert (aliceteichert.com/) created this installation at the Clarington Visual Arts Centre featuring letters ordered in a specific format to reflect her musical background, and to further display her concept of visual poetry. Moving light and camera weave through collapsed time to explore the images. I think of it as art interpreting art.

Susan Audet bought for shuffles and asked four of her closest friend to create playlists for her while she was going through chemo therapy. They all found that thea act was a wonderful bridge to communicate the things they needed to say. Sharing this unique way can sometimes communicate where words can’t.
Amazing! I knew he was great actor as the Vampire : Nickolas Knight in Forever Knight. Loved watching this every time on the Syfy. But Wow!!! Interesting is Everywhere___------TTTTTTT

This is Hapkido. Not all Hapkido styles look the same.
could the average hapkido student use this in a real street fight where stufff is happening fast and random. or even against a MMA fighter?
growing up in fort bragg, grand master jimmie brown & walter caulder would teach this to manyyyyy special forces operators
The beautiful speech of stage trained actors.
i had no idea benny hill had such elocution
This isn't even Hapkido??? Lol
You're not even a person??
Troll ahh keyboard warrior
I like when the Asians do it better it looks more of an art. It just looks like boxing now
How can I learn Hapkido?
This is beautiful.
Geraint's a great actor. And why you ask? Well that's simple. He's from Swansea in Wales, a city , county & country that nurtured Dylan Thomas, Richard Burton, Ray Milland & Anthony Hopkins. 🏴

Where is Hapkido?
This is ... Just embarrassing for guys like me who practice Hapkido. Shame
You're the embarassing one..you've obviously been taught wrong
@@mrbest1981 So you, Mr. KB, are doubting of a grandmaster who taught me... I can't show you videos of my master without giving you my Facebook so I would like you to show you another master I've trained with. Search Raphael Couet here on UA-cam. In this video you see 2 guys practicing a sport, Hapkido is not a sport, it's a personal defense martial art. Maybe you were the one who was trained wrong, because my master is respected all over the world and even by our founder Ji Han-Jae. DO
@@carneiro5575 Haha...I'm from Toronto, the video you saw is from 2 of our senior students, taught by Master Hwang Inshik...he used to be head of the World Hapkido Federation, and achieved the highest rank possible in the art. But here you are and your fake Master criticizing his technique as if you knew any better. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hwang_In-shik www.eaglehapkido.com Check out some of his movies with Jackie Chan, and Bruce Lee...he shows off some serious techniques.
@@mrbest1981 so what? That's not my point. My point is: this shown in the video is just cardio work almost. It is 2 guys fighting each other. Hapkido is not that, Hapkido consists in self defense, not a fucking brawl. And if you're saying that 2 grandmasters that maintain a relation with the founder Ji Han-Jae have no credibility you don't deserve practicing Hapkido
@@carneiro5575 Wow, ok Einstein...it's a demo video of what we learn in school, not a brawl, I mean to learn self defense, you need to fight don't you? Are you telling me there is no sparring in your school? 😂😂😂 Ask your Master about Master Hwang...if he knew anything about Hapkido he'll at least know who Master Hwang is, a direct student of Hapkido Founder: Choi Yong-sool.
Sorry but...this is not hapkido I think this video is kickboxing
Kickboxing is just a copy of Asian martial arts. What are you saying bro?
I'm Asian haha
@@user-pe5ms5ix1d I know ahah. What you see in the video is a shame for me and other Hapkido practicers. These guys are too bad
I'm not bad what the..
And I'm Black belt in hapkido
📓
Sorry but this video doesn't show any hapkido skills...just my opinion...🤔
True, it doesn't show 1/4 of Hapkido bases. Where are the technics on the wrists, elbows, shoulders locks etc...
It's a fucking 2 min video demonstrating different kicks/throws/punches...relax, it is Hapkido, and if you think it's not, then you don't know the art, opinions are just that.
@MajorLeague Let's take a look at the history of Hapkido, it was founded by Choi Young Sool, who came from the Takara clan, which was a samurai art form with Japanese Jiu Jitsu origins, meant to disarm swords, and fight cavalry. Among the few grand Masters that descended directly from Choi Young Sool, and attained 10th Dan (Highest Possible Rank) were Ji Han Jae, and Master Hwang Inshik. Ji Han Jae founded Sin Moo Hapkido (More traditional Hapkido), with focus on the development of Ki. Master Hwang Inshik had his own variation (which you see here),was appointed as chief instructor of the Korean Hapkido association in 1976 when he achieved his 7th Dan, and eventually 10th Dan by the world Hapkido association, he was becoming a movie star at that time, and featured in movies with Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Ji Han Jae, and many others (The Young Master was particularly interesting as he shows off his style of Hapkido), anyways, so Master Hwang left that life, came to Toronto Canada, and has been teaching here in a modest dojang@ Pape/Danforth for 40+ years now. The guys you see in this video are his students...their knowledge is coming from the source. Think about it....the School is called Eagle Hapkido. Do your research, and you can confirm all that I'm saying to you.
@MajorLeague This is a demo video of a yellow, and orange belt. ua-cam.com/video/JXqrKdmHy7Q/v-deo.html
@MajorLeague Lets let the Grandmasters decide where the art is going, and what it should be, and how it should be taught.
Wow! Brilliant!
thet should call you "jimmy limp wrists" given how often your wrist bends when your punch connects
This is not real Hapkido, don't worry. I'm an Hapkido blue belt and these guys are shaming the art. They don't rotate their hand while punching, they don't even move their shoulders to give amplitude... Shame on them
@@carneiro5575 They are practicing how to be loose with their punching, if they were really fighting the loose wrist becomes a tight punch right before impact, I trained with, Jimmy, Noah, and Master Hwang, trust me it's not a fucking joke, Master Hwang In shik has been teaching in Toronto Canada (Eagle Hapkido) for more then 40 years, he was the Head of the Hapkido Federation in Korea, as well as chief instructor for the association's headquarters, and has achieved 10th Dan (Highest Ranking possible) and is renowned in the World Hapkido Federation. I guess you'd know better though.
@@carneiro5575 You must be a Hapkido fake. I'd like to see you spout your bs to these guy's faces.
Not Is Hap Ki Do
Geraint Wyn Davies is a great actor. I love his show Forever Knight.
Wonderful acting. Can’t beat actors trained for the stage.
this isn't even hapkido
Come on, Frank. You're looking pretty stupid with that comment.
Can you not see the low sweep kick. Grab, Throws, the high roundhouse kick and acrobatic flips. That is hapkido. Sure you may think its not despite they do not wear their dobok. This is legit hapkido. Get w0ke keyboard warrior and stop trolling and open up your eyes and quit complaining

what? gaykido?
this is not Hapkido....
why is it not hapkido?
MajorLeague - was it supposed to be a thorough demo of hapkido? 2 minutes long...
watch literally any other hapkido video and the answer should be obvious. This is just normal kick boxing. H pakido is a pressure point style and a very defensive reaction based style. Someone comes towards you, you respond with grabbing their hand and snapping it. Someone kicks, you, you respond with grabbing their leg, flipping them, and snapping it .
@@The_guy907 watch literally any other hapkido video and you will see that hapkido incorporates punching and kicking.
@MajorLeague Hapkido is more about deflecting, but there is also degrees of blocking, you see it in 0:40
cool!
Is this hapkido? Look like kick boxing more than that.
Roy Ng hapkido includes kick boxing as well. hapkido has everything. akido doesn't
If you look at the break falling you can see that it's hapkido
@@adnanamin223 yes
Where do you think kick boxing came from? The kick part came from Asia. Before that there was a lot of wrestling that came from Greece and Boxing came from all over South/Central America. I mean even kick boxing isn't an original idea, look at Kali, Muay Thai, etc. All over Asia. They had to defend themselves from each other and Europe. Why do you think Shaolin monks would know Kung Fu. Because they had to defend their temples from destruction. It's such a long ranged style with wide stances and flying kicks because the opposition had swords. It wasn't always effective but a bow staff went a long long way. Some would say it's more effective than a sword if mastered
This is more kick boxing and less hapkido
