The chandelier is NOT from the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Hal Prince. What you have hanging in your venue is from the simplified-re-staged production that was directed by Laurence Connor.

Neat story, but the chandelier hanging at Oxford was not used in any official touring productions of Phantom. The Christine tour ran from 1989 to 1999, the Raoul tour from 1990 to 1998, and the Music Box tour from 1992 to 2010. All of the chandeliers were designed from the same cut and all of them had more lyres and bulbs than the one depicted here. All of them are either used in other official productions of Phantom worldwide or kept in storage in a private warehouse. The chandelier here was likely a rental used for amateur and regional productions, but to say it is from an official production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom is factually incorrect. The images at 0:33, 0:41, and 1:13 are from the closing of the Broadway production. The photos at 0:10 and 1:25 are from the restaged and redesigned US tour.

Prefer the studio sessions, better sound quality.

Here's a great Russian band paying homage and giving us a lesson in great music from times when the US still had a grip on reality and decency.

The Dayton concert last Wednesday was amazing! Ksenia absolutely crushed Dionne's "I Say A Little Prayer" without strings and without female back-up voices; Oleg stole most of the rest of the show; and Leonid's son did a terrific job as emcee.

Saw them this past Saturday in Philly! Wow!!! When they come back again, I'm going!!!

Saw them in Norfolk, VA last weekend. Absolutely wonderful. I'm not the biggest Chicago fan, but the musicians made the concert. The are amazing musicians, and their energy and audience interactions made this one heck of a concert.

Going to see them live next Wednesday...I'm SOOO STOKED! And OMG if they do THIS cover!? YES, PLEASE!
