A couple dyno runs when the combination was first put together. Made a best dyno run of 730WHP on 27PSI, no nitrous, untouched 2jzge short block. Best pass of 5.36 on 38psi and 75shot (for .6 into the run).

Turbo auto Sc300 vs Roush S550 Mustang
My grandpa wanted a very specific truck beck in 2004 but no company made it. He wanted an extended cab short bed 8.1 powered dually but they didnt make them in that config. So he bought a short bed extended cab cateye and had it converted to a dually. Its my favorite truck of all time
im curious what the 8.1 was so popular for? I know it has a cult following, but as far as i know they are gas guzzling gutless dogs....
Dump it in my lap when you decide you’re too busy for it
I got a 6.0 short block, just super dirty
@@BmoreFox how cheap? I really only need block/crank lol
@ I already have the gen 3 6.0 block tore down so would be perfect for you.
Detail you pay attention to say more then enough about your business
Digging this Nova build 👍
If anyone loves a Nova is definitely you
Obs chevy can you teach me how to tig tune and be rich
Chill dad I’m just trying to keep up with you
Nice bro I may have some projects for you
No problem. Get with me on any of them.
I'm a 62 year old machinist and hated paying people for Tig welding jobs for me. I bought one last year and still not that sure of myself, I have a buddy welding my roll cage in right now. But I'm going to do some chassis welding when he's done.
Definitely just practice. Buy small scraps of material, and filler rod and just get comfortable. I’m sure you know it takes time to get good at anything.
Subscribed bro 🏁
Thanks, love to see it!
You've definitely got some skills. Very nice looking work!
Appreciate it! 👍
Welds look clean🧼
Looks good!
You next?
What headers are you using
They are speed engineering short truck headers
I would be so afraid of something going threw that turbo
Badass man
Nice!
Thanks bro. 💪
Good stuff man, subscribed! Made it easy to understand what you're doing here.
Appreciate the sub, hope you like what's coming next!
@@I_Build_Cars What are you using to film? Looks really good.
@ my 12 pro and 14 iphone
Great vid brotha! Keep them coming😎
Thanks bro, appreciate it!
This video popped right up on my Home Screen lol
Good sign then, were you already subbed? Lol
Not bad
So you build cars to idle ...thats it ?
@@marktarascio4766 yes. Isn’t that what most people do?
🤤
Is there usually a screen there to atleast prevent rocks from getting sucked up?
Forsure awesome beast though
It’s a track only car. We aren’t worried about it
@@I_Build_Cars as someone who tracks, I worry about rocks all the time...
@@PBrooksSawyer keep doing you then!
😩🤌
My ocd can’t handle that’s it’s slightly off center
I would enjoy that ride lol
Speed never killed anyone, it’s suddenly stopping that kills
I'm bringing a zx10 out to mir this year and it's putting down 200 plus custom clutch box exhaust new internal let's see who has something to beat it I'm not saying the Year but it's the dragon slayer motor
Didn't Panda loose a good bit of bread ri.h lol I bet when he went home his butt was hurt or his girl Left him for loosing all that bread
Lol not once but twice. Just to be sure.
I hate at 8:17 they are saying it’s a 5.0 and you need to take the turbo off 😂
Z06 is already a monster but ZR1 is something else
Damn I thought it would have been a closer race.
how?
Driver mod. The Z06 weighs less. Should have won.
Weighing less has very little with how well a car works I have both c6 zo6 and zr1 along with a viper gts. Zr1 puts both to shame
@Levario Jones Zr1 just was finished getting pulley e85 and tune by Gforce Motorsports puts 650 / 650 to the wheels pulls like a train now
144lbs difference yet 133hp difference lol .
What cams ?
Clean ass build man , what ecu are you using ?
Holley Terminator X Max
Geeee wilakers that was coooool I saw you at cars and coffee and the guy that detailed your car did a amazing job
Goals

2019
Holy shit
Great kill!
What mods?
Kevin Roybal mufflers and a clutch
Heads, headers, and cam on z06 will out run the zr1
Zr1 with ecu only can be 700 +hp, z06 can never achieve that. Forced induction ftw
It has all of that already. With a fat Procharger on the right side. Along with a nitrous outlet. That z06 is probably pushing high 700s maybe lower 800s with spray.
@@oo.8330 you say this as if the LS7 doesn't react well to boost. I realize the walls are fairly thin, but you can do a lot with a relatively small amount of boost, a blower cam, heads, headers, et al. Yes, I realize a ZR-1 reacts well to tuning and can be built up as well, but, to act like the z06 is just outclassed speaks a lot to your knowledge. But, yeah, PDSC over everything, my main complaint with the LS series for street driving is the "meh" bottom end torque, especially with any real cam, even with the LS7. Twin screw blowers "alleviate" this nicely. (Edit: I have a 427, the ls7 convertible, still N/A, no modifications to the rotating assembly, conservative tune, conservative cam, didn't increase compression, no intake, I'm at 540whp, ballpark of 640 at the crank. N/A Z's CAN get to that power level, the advantage of the LS9 is that it's got a broader torque band to play with, and that's why I'm going forced induction on my 427, I'm going to keep the overall boost low, for safety and longevity yes, but I want that low RPM power and a little boost to the top end, doesn't make a huge difference for drag racing and roll racing though, as you do shit to keep it in the optimal powerband there anyway)
Both awesome cars but head to head an all motor car vs 6.2 with a factory blower cmon the answer is obvious
@@johnnyyang3695 truth . i think its funny when someone says heads , cam , headers , what else you going to add. Then i'll add this that or this and that .. its to funny the original guy "eternal thread" . Best way , run them in stock form head to head, end of story. Then if you want add ons do the same exact add ons or do add ons to the z06 to see how much must be added before it runs even and or passes the zr1. Its like controlles vs M and K .. Controllers are inferior but keep giving them more aim assist, scripts, cheats, over clocking to compete with or pass and then say controller is better? LMAO . no you needed to modifying it so much to even run equal.. sad times
Wtf lmao
damnn
The stock 427 NA did pretty well keeping up. Supercharge the z06 new king
it was supercharged
I know your comment is old, but it said it was an RPM built motor on low boost on the Z06
