I think this is great highlight into our public transportation system. Mr. Lewis is good man, and very dedicated, he has done great things for CATS. CATS bus operators, and light rail work hard and do an amazing job every day, but I feel they are not the only work houses of CATS. The Special Transportation System are the underdogs of CATS and mostly go un noticed. Somewhat of a small crew. It's not easy to find someone that has the patience, dedication and love for the people we serve in our communities ,that STS drivers do. I believe for most, it's not about the money. It's not just a job, for most they genuinely care and have compassion for the people they serve. They have over time developed heartfelt relationships with each of them. STS is a family of few drivers, dispatchers, supervisors, reservationist, and HR personnel, who are also working hard to hold down that part of our community that otherwise could not do it by themselves, STS helps people with special needs achieve their independence.
