Never seen something more powerful
This is a beautiful piece of art and an essential part of early cinematic history. These films capture the imagination and optimism of the turn of the last century. We find these movies intriguing since it's from completely different world, it's only a glimpse of the past. No doubt, Georges Melies left his mark.
Not certain but is possibly from a live performance by Günter A. Buchwald at the Film Museum, Munich December 8th 2011. He accompanied a number of Méliès' films including Voyage à travers l'impossible and Die entdeckung des nordpols (also playing on this channel)

I have been searching for a live performance of Dynamic Motion for quite some time, and I must say that this is the best performance I have found! It sounded a bit rough around measure 21, but those 32nd note sixlets are difficult to master. I loved his excitement at the end as well! Very talented young man with an abundance of musical genius!

I agree, this copy is marvelous !!!! Could you credit please ? Is it a colored hand or restored version ? The "Star Film" Mélies doesn't appear at the beginning ?...I really love this film also the music is fantastic...Could you tell where you find it. Or is it a capture from a concert (because we hear some applause at the end...;-).
