I would say the majority of Hollyweird actors from past to present are mentally ill…

Very well done. Sure, there were others that were not mentioned here, but enough content to be very interesting. It's not uncommon in the world of fame and fortune to see so many with mental problems. Some actors were already compromised, but the life style generally exacerbated the condition. I just read the autobiography of Frances Farmer. The book was very insightful and sad. I recommend reading it for an indepth look at her life. Thank you for sharing this video.

Be glad if someone thinks you have mental issues, it means your Brilliant, and someone of average intelligence can't comprehend that. This includes some doctors.

Sweetheart, you need to take some lessons in the proper pronunciation of the English language. You also need to take spelling lessons if you were the one who wrote the captions.

Nothing but another rehash of the same tired old stories about the same useless parasites that could be handle fame and money and power while the rest of us but without necessities to watch their stupid movies. Part of the reason I haven't been inside a movie theater it almost 40 years now. If those little weasels can't handle being rich, they can get out of the way and I'll damn sure show them now

I think there's more mental illness in Hollywood now. It's rampant.

I've been watching old movies for about 60 years. I haven't forgotten any of these actors. It would be nice if the narrator (probably AI) could pronounce names and descriptions properly.

Interesting...we're all human, and feel the ups and downs of just living. So many people, not just movie stars, need professional help, counseling, and never get it.

They all and many more. They live lives pretending to be some one else, because they can stand being who they are. Has nothing to do with their careers. They brought the luggage with them.

Marilyn Munroe and Diana , had so much in common although , norma Jean had a much worse childhood than Diana . Diana was quite privileged and had much more opportunities in life than poor Norma Jean .

@ she is not the only one but she did have privileges, did not live in poverty and had every opportunity for a good education . Diana had bpd and to some extend genetics were involved . Diana knew right from wrong and often choose wrong because of her narcissistic and selfish behaviour , she never put anyone before her unless it was a benefit to her . The girl was a mentally disturbed person . Manipulative .

I, as a European, have always found the treatment of the brilliant Hattie McDaniels to be racism practiced at its worst. She was a brilliant Mammy in “Gone with the Wind”. You were held spellbound by her performance & loved her incredible acting - one did not look at it from a racial perspective at all. But how brilliant she was in that role basing it on a time that the story was set in. Before, During, & After the Civil War. Not been given the permission to attend the ceremony in Atlanta because of racial laws that were put in place at the time was an utter disgrace. Confined to a wall table, far away from other attending white acting members, must have made it a despicable humiliation for her to come to terms with. Yet she gave a graceful, resounding, warm hearted speech, when accepting her Award. Thank goodness for a few broad minded actors like Clark Gable who stood loyally by her & the white agent William Meiklejohn, who sat at her table together with her guest, when the Academy Awards were announced & presented. She was so gifted & talented with singing & musical abilities. She entertained, together with other black entertainers, the black troops serving in WW2. They were segregated from their fellow white soldiers, most likely dying alongside them. She collected Bonds for the War effort & supported the cause tirelessly. Her wish was to be buried in the Hollywood Cemetery where fellow white actors were granted that request. Not even that dignity was she given. All because no whites were allowed burial in the Hollywood Cemetery at the time. Only in 1923 did they give their permission to have her interred in the cemetery she wished to be buried in. Her immediate family declined. No doubt motivated by grievances of racial discrimination which they have every right to be angry about. But it’s not about them & their feelings it’s about Hattie McDaniels wish & respecting it. I personally think they made a big mistake & should have honoured her request. People visiting would see her gravestone & be reminded of her great contribution to the arts & cinema. In her present resting place her gravestone looks forlorn & lost. Fading slowly into oblivion. Honour her request & let people remember her in the cemetery of her wish. She will, no doubt, be happy that at last she was granted that final, noteworthy dignity.
