    Thank you for your testimony I'm thinking about switching gears from a paint subcontractor to home inspections. My wife and I are both gonna train and we both paint now I've been building residential and commercial for many years and about physically give out. My wife said God helped us build a small business out of nothing and he could do it again we just need to have faith. We are in the forgotten coast areas north Florida but my wife is from your area. Thanks again for testimony I needed that to move forward. Peace and blessings to your family and business please lift us up in prayer as well. Thanks Jesus is Lord!!!

You are such a good person with great values pretty similar to me, I aspire to be like you one day. @davidscruggs3755 Рік тому

      It's not the fear of heights, it's the thought of what will happen if you fall from those heights. I have the same fear, but if you do it enough it will become 2nd nature. You could also get drone certified and use that. Nothing can replace the accuracy of a roof inspection like having boots on the roof but if you can't do that then use a drone. Good luck in your journey.

    • @davidscruggs3755
      @davidscruggs3755 Рік тому

      Depends on alot of factors. How old it is, how well taken care of it was, how many issues you start finding, how big the house is, if its occupied or vacant. It could take you anywhere from 1 hour and 45 minutes to 3 or 4 hours. Also if your doing anything extra like pool inspection or we'll inspection could take another 30 to 45 minutes.

    The shimmering in asphalt shingles is the fiberglass mat due to granular loss. Granular loss is for sure due to aging. But there's other factors that adds to advancing the life of asphalt shingles. Hail damage, wind damage, multiple layers & inadequate attic insulation of all things !

    Thank you David for all that you do for me!! I'm one of the Realtors that works with David exclusively. It started just like he said, i was unhappy with my previous inspector because he was a jerk to me (he was always super rude when i needed his help or had extra questions). So i found David and used him for my next inspection. It was a night and day difference in how he not only treated me, but also my first time homebuyer client. So i hired him again for the next one. And the next one. And here we are a year later and there's no one else I'll call to take care of my inspection needs. Over time we became friends naturally. He's an incredible human being and truly seeks to serve above and beyond every time. And he will continue to get my recommendation to my agent colleagues and clients forever. Oh, and thank you David for going to Tampa (aka Clearwater) for me when I needed it!! 😉

    At 3:27, how did you miss how wrong that pipe flashing is?? Is there even one there? I can see down into it. Even if there is one under there. it's done all wrong. Same with the kitchen vent flashing. Terrible workmanship, how it isn't leaking i don't know. THe flashing should be integrated into the shingles,over and under, like it's just another shingle, not shingled over after it's in the roof deck. Dumb. That roof is degranulating for sure. You can see it all over. Soon the fibreglass matt will be shining all over the place. It's old and tired.

Went through the 90 hr classroom training and passed. Preparing for national/state exam. My intentions is to go into business for myself but second guessing myself that I need “experience” in the industry through a multi-inspectors company. God has absolutely nothing to do why you are so busy. It had to do with the outrageous homeowner’s insurance premiums in Florida. And how a lack of urgency by our governor to find real solutions to our HO Ins in Florida. They should rename name Florida homeowner inspectors revenue generators. After every inspection of most homes the homeowner will be upgrading either windows, electrical or roof. I know, I have done all the above in the 20 plus years I have lived in my home. And guess what, my insurance rate has never been lowered although I have spent over 40,000 in upgrades. My insurance more than doubled this year. This is the biggest scam in Florida. As a 6th generation Floridian who thought she could live out the rest of her life in her modest little home will now be forced to move out of Florida.
