Checking the "SWR Vanilla Reload Sounds", my autism went off the scale when I heard it wasn't Clear Sky vanilla sound, it was CoP. Inspect/Bore animation had no sound for it either, so I made a very simple one. Used interface sounds for Mag in/out. *Weird static sound at the end of the second reload. Dont know why, wasnt in my game :p*

So... at first I did this for fun, but honestly these sound super badass with the classic models. Clearly I will be making this into an addon for OWA:GS. ALL WEAPON sounds are from Call of Pripyat. SWR was updated, as the release version had no bore/inspect, thus I never made any It's the CoP reload sound since there was only the CoP version and there were no alternate versions at the time. I'll probably update it later down the line since I'm almost finished with my vanilla playthrough of CoP, and I feel like I really kitbashed the whole addon

I wonder, would you be able to "un-fix" the guns in the Old World Anomaly addon? The guns in vanilla games are mirrored and it adds to the classic look. However, in the Old World they are fixed to match the real world. Would you be able to reverse that and make a mirrored pack which would truly look like the OG games?

I love the original Stalker AK model. It just looks chunky and strong. It doesn't need to be super realistic. That green plastic furniture is burnt into my brain. Also, I hope it will use the original SoC firing sound. Then again it would be an easy fix.
I've always liked that OD green furniture too. Is it Bulgarian? Did it come that way when it was issued? Or is it aftermarket?
@@judsongaiden9878 I always assumed it was a stylistic choice to make the weapon seem more modern and futuristic. Stalker always had this slight grounded and contemporary scifi feel to its art style. And it was set in 2012, which at the time of release (2007), was the near future. So a fictional weapon modernization program wasn't that unrealistic. It was apparently a pretty late texture change too, since earlier pre-release versions had a more realistic looking dark brown furnishing instead. In any case, I always liked how it looked in the final game.
@@517342 there actually exists green polymer AK furniture that came straight out of the factory, supposedly the early batches of AK-74s have these green furniture before they switched to the brown bakelite because those were more durable than the green ones, the green AKs then get passed along as trophy rifles before being trickle down to the border guards, creating an urban legend of border guards being issued with green AKs. Just my speculation that because the military in stalker are basically border patrols, the green rifles were supposed to invoke that imagery. That being said, how the AKs look in the game is entirely fictional as the actual "green AKs" look nothing like in the game and are quite rare.
