So sad to get old. RIP Gord.
I was in Eau Claire that night at the Pablo Center. It was the final concert of his I attended. I am thinking I attended about 70 of them, back to 1977. I grew old with him. My seat was about Row 4, front and center. I remember how slowly he walked on and off stage. I thought he might have retired during COVID and called a career. But he got back out there- he lived life on his own terms.
can't take anything from terry!
This performance was amongst Gordon's last ones. His last performance was October 30, 2022, It's amazing he was able to last as long as he did despite having a terminal case of emphysema.
First saw them newcastle city hall 1978..great band.
So happy to subscribe to your reverent channel😊
So sad now knowing: “ The Watchman’s Gone”💖✝️💔💜
Although the venue is in a very bad part of town ,,, ill still go see Priest eveey time they come around
Gave it all he had right up to the end
What a man, singer, composer, musician. Thanks for your songs, words and memory.
Thank you for sharing this. I saw Gordon a couple handful of times in the last fifty years and he never failed to entertain you. It’s sad to see that he was still out touring in this condition. I hope he was doing it for the love of the music and fans and not because he needed the money. Rest in peace Gordon and thank you for all the wonderful shows and music.
He probably would have been very happy dying out on tour somewhere……
I hope he was having fun at least because it is hard to listen to. Sorry, I'm not much on political correctness.
...beautiful/haunting version of "Early Morning Rain"...RIP Mr. Lightfoot...
RIP Gordon. We love you.
It's the chicks that keep old Gord on the road.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
God bless you Sir. RIP, i pray you received peace in youre road of repentence, im on my own. See you one day.
Jerry Melsness thank you very much for this. Do you know if this was his last concert or if not, which/when was his last?
I know it was the last one here. Not sure when his final show was.
@@JSTRATOBLASTER figured out it was Oct 30, 2022 in Winnipeg. Thanks again for posting the great video from this one.
Rest in peace
RIP Gordon Lightfoot. I have always enjoyed his music and the fact that he lasted as long as he did is a testament to his work ethic and doing what he always enjoyed doing. Recording and playing at shows all the way until his passing.
RIP GORD. 😢

Andy Sneap is really doing a great job filling in for Glenn.
…And what will you be doing when you’re 83 years old? This man is such an inspiration. I say play on Mr. Lightfoot until your last beautiful breath on this god forsaken planet.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Gordon Lightfoot..........but there does come a time
Thank you Matt for the respect for this talent. Thank you Mr. Lightfoot
I cry with you now knowing, “ The Watchman’s Gone”💔💜💖✝️
What will i be doing at 83? Not ruining my legacy
@@FOXLIES well I’m fairly certain his legacy survived the flawed performances of his later years
If Gord wants to play let him play. He wants to do this and most of the crowd understood b4 getting tickets that he is older now.
Have to say...Andy's sounding better and better.
Top sound.
Нет Кена,нет Типтона.......нет Джудаса!!! Не то
That guitar player is cheesy !
You must be talking about Andy sneap I agree don't be so hard on him though he's got huge shoes to fill😊😎🌈⚡️🎵🌈🎸
@@mrfixxitt8346 ok ,,yea he does ,,I would Love to light it up for Rob though given the opportunity ,,guess Andy was at the right place ,right time ,,explains me commenting on him ,,wish it was vice versa I can assure you the comment wouldn't be as harsh !
@@jdog667 yeah I've lost count of how many times I've seen Judas Priest but I'll tell you this much if Malmsteen is playing or Joe Satriani or any other great guitarists and they're playing on the same night at the same places I'm seeing Judas Priest with KK Downing and Glenn Tipton even Richie Faulkner and Glenn Tipton but with sneep I'll see the other guys well though I have to say I'd have to check sneap out on some other concerts he could get a lot better I'd have to see🌈⚡️🎸😎🎵🎶🎵 have a good one
@@mrfixxitt8346 Yea ,,could of been a bad night for him ,,but he must fill the need for greatness ,,,Judas freakin Priest man 🎸✌
@@jdog667 absofuckinglutly⚡️🌈⚡️😎🎸🎶🎵😎👍🤟🖖 long live Judas Priest long live the Metallion as we all scream for vengeance .🎸
EXCELLENT JOB IN YOUR COVERAGE!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!!
아 대단하다 주다스프리스트! 저 나이에도 이렇게 멋진 라이브 공연이라니? 대한민국에도 한번 또 와줘요!
Halford es de otro planeta una voz increible
I love Gordon Lightfoot but this is pretty sad. Band is great, Gordon can still play the guitar but his vocal ability is pretty much gone. It's like watching an athlete that should have retired flounder on the field. Gordon's music will live on but it's time for him to stop playing live. Some singers can maintain their range, power, etc. well into their later years. Tony Bennett is a great example. He sang his songs in the same key with the same clarity, power, and accuracy at 95 in his last appearance with Lady Gaga. I was AMAZED! But he is the exception, not the rule. I don't know how anyone can see Gordon like this and not feel bad/sad. Please Gordon, you've had an amazing career with so many great songs. But it's time to stop playing live.
ARE YOU SATISFIED NOW??? You are CRUEL.
I must say, Tom Jones(who I was never a big fan of) seems to have retained a considerable amount of the power and vitality in his singing voice well into his senior years ..wish the same could be said of poor ol' Paul McCartney whose pipes are pretty much shot.
так вот кто монастырь в Винтерфеле сжёг
amazing, Rob at that age still sings great meanwhile younger geezers have lost their ability to sing! Great band, love them!
🔱🔱JUDAS🔗PRIEST🔥🔥ALWAYS DELIVERS !!!!!!🔱🔱🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Thanks for posting this. Halford STILL has that vocal power, fifty years on. The man is superhuman.
Yes indeed - he sounds just as good as he did 50 years ago!
Это уже не тот Judast Priest, лед гитаристы слабее легендарных ,похоже на закат, как было в своё время с Nazareth, но всё равно лучше , рано или поздно все стареют и к этому надо относится с пониманием
I disagree with you Richie Faulkner great guitarist doing a great job. Richie's heart is 110% into this however Andy sneap he seems like he's just going through the motions to play and this heart is not into it lacks a lot of feeling in his playing on some of the songs not all of them but maybe he's just having one of those days as a guitarist I know some days you're just on and your incredible some days you like what the hell is wrong with me😮 so maybe it's just this performance that I'm watching with him I mean no disc to the man at all it's just some of the songs I saw around here that I felt that. So Long Live Judas Priest Long Live heavy metal if you think I will ever love any other music as much as heavy metal you've got another thing coming so I'm just going to keep riding on the Wind with my hell patrol as I seek my dreamer Deceiver before the dawn as I'm hot rocking heading down the highway I've got nothing to lose at all😊⚡️🌈🎸🎵🎶🌈😎🖖🤟👍
Awesome job recording this concert from where your at thanks for sharing with all us metal heads 👏👏🤘🤘
Time to say goodbye... Sad to hear this. 😞
that sneap guy sucks
Whats the name of the first song?
Aha after long research: The Watchman's Gone
@@globefm thank you, i was gonna ask the same thing
Ian Hill is like moss covered statute of Priest he's been there from the beginning through all the changes.
OBGYNKENOBI.... 👍👍👍😂😂😂😂 YES HE SURE HAS !!!!🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
He started the band. You should know that
@@jmzochsnrtr YES I KNEW IT MTHRFKER !!!!!!!!!!
La più grande Metal band di tutti i tempi !
Gordon is so great, I love seeing eau Claire focusing on our white traditions and Pablo center does a great job of ensuring our race survives the terror that's been caused in this state by the poor. RCU gets a nod as well for supporting this effort

I love that Gordon is still making music, even if he doesn't sound like his old self. Amazing, too, that his musicians have stuck it out with him for so many albums and decades. I discovered his songs later in my life, and my life is better for it.
❤
We all suffer the same unavoidable.. time and age. God bless.
