Community Update: Progress on the Street Naming Effort! 12/18/24
Today, we had a productive day at the City of Miami Gardens City Hall, with two important meetings:
1️⃣ Community Engagement Meeting: Thank you for your assistance and support in pushing this initiative forward. Dr.Poag office
2️⃣ Meeting with Councilwoman Dr. Michelle Powell- When she walked through the door, she said, “....... and I support this effort 100%.” 🎉 She officially signed on as a sponsor-an incredible step forward!
Here’s where we are and what’s next:
• ✅ Step 1: Application submitted, non-refundable and bond fees paid, and receipt in hand.
• ✅ Step 2: Securing a second sponsor (almost there!).
• Step 3: Getting the proposal ratified and added to the agenda for the January 22nd City Council meeting for a vote.
This is our community’s moment to make history. Let’s come together, stand strong, and see this through to the finish line!
See you all on January 8th and January 22nd at the Miami Gardens City Hall!!
