Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is an airport serves the city of Qingdao in Shandong province, China. It received approval in December 2013, and replaced the existing Qingdao Liuting International Airport as the city's main airport. It is located in Jiaodong, Jiaozhou, 39 kilometres from the center of Qingdao.

I lived there in 2017. I really liked it. It wasn't a ghost town at all like people say. It had a few empty shops and houses, sure, but plenty of people lived and worked there. It had lots of nice shops and places to eat and walk around by the river. It was definitely way crowded on the weekends with mostly Chinese tourists. I don't know why other laowai always love to shit on Thamestown so much. It's more Chinese than downtown Shanghai, that's for sure. 😂
