Don't do anything that builds lust between you and your prospective spouse. The more you do of physical intimacy together, even if you don't provoke lust in each other, will decrease the amount of novelty of sexual contact in marriage, which can be very damaging and lead to the weaponization of sex, which is a form of spousal abuse. Also, learn to embrace the mundane together now, so that in time when sex and sexuality becomes routine in marriage, it never becomes "boring" or an *unjoyful* obligation. Husbands and wives are obligated to each other by their vows, but it is a great joy, and always should be; the details of which are a holy secret. Marriage is a sacred, sacramental act, a Holy Ordinance of God, and therefore the Church, not the state, should be involved in marriage and policing conduct therein when or if the relationship goes beyond the husband and wife to handle. Take on an abstinent mindset and lifestyle, whether you are a virgin or not. For instance, don't masturbate while you're dating/courting, (or in general), because even if somehow you can do so without a lustful imagining, you are stealing pleasure from your future spouse, which dishonors them and does not indicate a marital, treasuring heart. As many people have said, i love the transparency you've shown throughout this video! I believe that through testimonies such as this, the church will start to (hopefully) be more open to hearing people out about the current struggles and battles they face. Just because Christ died for us, and we've accepted our salvation, doesn't mean that we won't ever make mistakes, in fact, we're Christian BECAUSE we make mistakes, and we know we on our own are incapable of saving ourselves. I've had a similar experience where I was faced with the expectation to fill certain positions for our university's ministry and when I didn't do that, or didn't feel led to do certain things, i felt like i was unwanted, unneeded and just of no use to anyone. But just know that irregardless of the things you've been through and what other Christians have put you through, no one is as good and gracious and loving as Christ Himself. I'm sure it's been hard because of the lack of community and the lack of mercy/kindness that was shown to you, and this is going to sound hard to do. But even with that, we have to pray for people who believe they are above moral failure because they are actively choosing to sit in or ignore their own sin-and that is a tragedy. It is a blessing within itself that even after falling into sin, you are making a video about your experience and hoping that it'll bring more Christians or even non-believers together to talk about a shared experience of church-hurt. God still loves you Katy, even if the people who claimed to represent Him, didn't love you well. Keep your head up and remember that even Christ your Savior was betrayed by the people who claimed to know His Father. Be of good cheer, for He has overcome the world!

Biblically it says women shouldn’t azure men authority in church, I don’t think that’s a burden your meant to carry, also as you grow you should meet more godly women to help your walk, I have had many hurts and issues in church and threw the biblical steps of humbling myself forgiving going to them one on one ex I have been able to walk in gods love with them if I was in the world no way, it truly is three him we have supernatural unity dispute our sins, it’s not easy. As much as is possible with you live at peace, after that it’s in Gods hands. There are some people I’m careful of because I know there fleshly tendencies and where they are blind but I love them in our lord. Just know the lord loves you and your not condemned and he desires a unified body and it will be in heaven don’t give up striving to keep the bond of unity. God bless you sister

Forgive as you’ve been forgiven love them as you have been loved pray for gods leading protect your witness and christs reputation speak biblical truth in the body but def don’t give up on church as it’s def gods will praying god gives you wisdom and clarity

Katie I am so happy to see you back on UA-cam, even if it’s temporarily. I love your honesty and your commitment to uphold that honesty, even when it’s hard. I too was a Covid Christian (in my 20’s) and your videos were so helpful to me during those times. I was preparing to come to Canada for school and I remember I was excited to see that you are a Canadian UA-camr. God has given you authority and conviction in your speeches and a love for children and that is so amazing to see. I’m sorry the church has caused you to doubt yourself. I just want to remind you of this verse in Romans 5:3-5 Sufferings produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope! Hope does not put us to shame!

I’ve been to tons of churches and they never felt right. This year I got invited to a small church in the countryside and it’s great! Almost everyone is so nice and welcoming and they actually preach the right stuff from the Bible :) and I hope you will find the same. And don’t feel bad about your failures, if you don’t fail you’re not living right. We’re not meant to be perfect ❤

Katy im sorry that church did that to you I had no idea you got fired I'm that our church wasn't more supportive because you were, you helped me through a lot of pain that me and my family were going through I love you so much no matter what because i felt like I had someone behind me no matter what. Often times i am sooo grateful God isnt human (yes Jesus is human but you know what I mean, not sinful like the human nature is) The church is full of humans who need Jesus and often humans hurt eachother. Peoples issues is they wanna come to church and live in willful sin and not be held accountable for it. We can’t accept but Jesus says to Deny, we live for him and stand on his word not everyone else’s.

So true, charismatic groups / Protestantism is not the way. Catholicism or Orthodoxy will give you more space to heal. Or no religion at all! It's okay to take a break. I've been there. Church hurt is real... still recovering from the hypocrisy myself.

I am so sorry you went through so much after loving them so passionately😢 Know that God is not in a hurry. He will heal you attentively, carefully, gently, and meticulously. Katy your honesty here is what we need! I have had a similar testimony to you, didn't grow up a Christian, became a Christian during COVID and lived in all the ways of the world to being changed practically overnight. I have the kind of testimony that you described which people always wanted to hear and put on a pedastal. It made it hard for me to admit that the things I used to struggle with were slowly creeping back in. I had major setbacks over this year (different scenarios to yours), and the thing that kept me going besides Jesus was the friendships and mentors at my church that encouraged me and reminded me that I was not perfect and I didn't need to be nor could I ever be. The things you said in this video about the church being more open about mistakes and failures and having grace is something I have been fortunate to find in my church but not always in other evangelism groups which I was taking active roles in leading. It really is helpful sharing what you have and I understand it wasn't an easy thing to film. Glad to see you are back and looking forward to whatever God has in store for you (be whatever that is). No that you are not alone with these experiences 🤍

Katy we've missed you! i don't want to make this too long ik you have a lot to read but i just want you to know that Jesus is proud of you for not letting your church hurt break your faith because for many others that is the case. I'm sorry you had to experience all of that. I will be praying for you! p.s. keep in mind that God works all things together for the good of the people who love him. We could rejoice in the fact that this part of your testimony will help you to love and serve other christians who have also been hurt by the church! I love your honesty, THAT IS WHAT THE CHURCH NEED! The honesty about how the Christian's walk really is, it can be really hard. I think some churches want everyone to be happy, and the second people start sharing their hurt, the church don't know what to do.

how was your church hiring such a young, new christian to be a pastor? that was the mistake. that time of your life should have been for making mistakes, figuring it out, developing your relationship wIth Christ and building a solid foundation of experience on your own- out of the spotlight, and out of the pressure and responsibility of pastoring. pastoring is for experienced christians who are mature in their faith! im so sorry this happened. i hope your church learns from this experience and allows young christians to mature in their faith before putting them in positions of authority.

Your heart is in the right place. So many people have done horrible things to people saying it was what God wanted when He didn’t AT ALL! They wanted to throw stones, and Jesus offered freedom, hope in Him, a new life. Saul/Paul was killing Christians and God showed him the right way. The people who think they are perfect are deceived. We all need to be honest with ourselves and claim “To God be the Glory”, not to self, and “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.” not our blood sweat and tears. So many times I would get discouraged over never being perfect enough growing up being very conservative Christian. My mom always encouraged me to focus on relationship with Jesus and every time I look into His lens I see something very different from what people are like. We must pity those who think they know best because the moment we take our eyes off Jesus, we have lost the real message. Sounds like Jesus is showing you you can depend on him even if you can’t depend on people. Lots of love to you thank you so much for being honest you have no idea how much you may bless someone else and bring them to Jesus because you’re honest about our human condition and true need for Christ!
